"Rufst du mein Vaterland" was the de facto Swiss National Anthem from 1848 to 1961, it was written by Johann Rudolf Wyss in 1811 and wrote it as the "War hymn for Swiss artillerymen", the anthem's melody uses that of a particular French song used by the British, Germans, Americans and other countries such as Liechtenstein. It was relinquished in 1961 and was replaced by the Swiss Psalm.
