Seriously. Who the blazes would want that puffy lipped, honor-breaking BOY when they could have a MAN like that? Totally not believable. If they wanted to make that situation even slightly more possible they should have picked an actor to play Tristan that was a bit more....compelling for one.

Team Mark absolutely!!That was the problem with the movie.Director wanted to tell a real story, a sympathetic one.Mark didn't have to be a monster.Circumstances and timing were to be the enemies.However, Rufus Sewell's acting chops, his voice, eyes that can tell a story on their own, and strong screen presence left James Franco in the dust. Man vs. the boy. I wanted the man every time...and I wasn't alone with the discerning audiences.

The only film I have seen about Tristan and Isolde is "The eternal return", with Jean Marais. This "new" version of the story didn't catch my attention until now, when I learn that Rufus Sewell plays in it. He is such a good actor and such a strangely handsome man. His eyes, his voice... 😘😘😘😘 I'm going to download the movie right now just to see him.

Ah! chic, you paid tribute to this film! I had noticed that I had disliked, only because I had watched the full movie. Really, without having read the reviews (I discovered them much later), I told myself that it was not possible to have taken a much too young actor compared to the lady who is therefore the wife of Rufus Sewell. While watching the film, I even wondered how she could be interested in this jeannot? ! The big mistake of the film is to have taken an actor far too attractive to interpret the role of Iseult's husband. To say that in addition I read the book. We do not lend him much to the husband :)) And this actor so young is not at all suitable for the role. On the other hand, I am thrilled that you created a video on this film that I now liked. When I made a cut or a breack on YT, it was by a mistake of a person, and I let spin years before returning to it. Also, I liked or disliked, as soon as it was possible again, without looking at who created what! Thank you for everything my dear Gaby. At the time, I even wanted to answer you about your concern under the Päpstin video... I didn't know how to do it, not knowing how to create e-mail lines. And I still don't know.
