I'm definitely a rufus wainwright fan, and I do also like this, but the visual story confused me a little bit. I mean the passing of the mantle, and the sword over his head, I got those, but what was the weird Burger King but advertisement for Darren Kriss? That was weird to me to, it felt like they were trying to stuff in an anti-fast food ad, which is fine I guess, but it didn't fit here. Or at least not for me. That's my only complaint.

@Thorn998556 жыл бұрын
Yes, both of you, yes. The President is very far from perfect, but from the words I read that many people throw around, just wow, that people can't see that they behave in a lot of the same ways. Myself included. It's hard to see one's own part in all of this when we are all too busy blaming everyone else. Despite originally wanting Bernie to be the President, I think these past 2-3 years have churned up so many problems that were buried to the surface. I don't think that the secret upper class have done much of a good job with things either. It will be interesting to see how everything shakes out in the end. Hopefully all of this tumultuousness brings about better things in the end. (I don't know that you can liken the neoconservatives to Dionysus, but I love Rufus all the same.)

His voice, the piano, other instruments; all that combines into a soft 'something' that seeps into your mind. A video isn't even needed; the song does it all. The theme and perspective reminds me a bit of Bowie’s “Fantastic Voyage” which was in response to the threat of nuclear war in the hands of petty world leaders at the time. The song suggests that world leaders were more concerned about their egos than humanity. Anyways, a really great song here! I remember being a kid when Rufus came out with his cover of “Across the Universe”. That was during the early years of my musical interest formation and I adored that cover so much! I never ventured further into his catalogue as my tastes were all over the place then, but I will definitely be making some purchases in his catalogue now.
