I'm going to say this about the first story. If OP changes the name to please her sister, than her sister will take it as a sign that she can walking over OP, and each time OP names any future child or animal than the sister will oppose it.

Listen you can't assume that that's every sister's actions the sister just simply wanted the name it's a cat sorry but you can always change the name it's 1 decision it doesn't change the ability of the person to think about another person this always gives me sister pick me Energy because I will never hear the sister side of the story and I'd rather hear her side and not just her 1 sister side

For the first story, no their not because Sandy wasn't the original name it was just a nickname for IF she had a girl. Second, if you change it, the sister will see she can walk all over them. And third the sister doesnt own the name therefor they can name their cat whatever they want to.
