Tackle animations are league tackles, not union at all…looks horribly wrong. Hope they plan ons fixing it

I would like to see more and better animations for side stepping, break tackle variations, hand off vs the tradional bump. A mix between Rugby Challenge 3 and Madden NFL 24 animations here would work well. As well as different body types. Graphics are looking good but the players seem to have very similar body types, from props looking like wings to wings smaller wings build like Centres. If you take Malcolm Marx, Joshua Tuisova, Eben Etzebeth, Tagh Furlong, Cheslin Kolbe...there is a massive difference in all these body types and shapes.

The biggest basic flaw I am seeing is some bullet passes. Passing needs to be looked at here. Passing the full width of the field certainly is not realistic.

The fact they are still struggling with the very basics doesn’t give me much hope they can handle the more complex aspects of the game

Good reviews, helps that you played the rugby league game and know the dynamics. Other streamers dont represent this game well because they just arent good at the game

We need to stay positive and not dishearten the creators from trying to get it right. Keep the constructive criticism but don’t condemn it before it comes out. That’s just winging and sulking. The more people buy the game the more likely it will get the funding it needs to evolve

Exactly. EA, despite the presentation of sports games would probably ruin it. Plus not enough money in it for them.

As someone who has played Big Ant's Cricket 24 from day 1, I am seeing the exact same design issues here which are plaguing Cricket 24 to this day over a year into it's life cycle, just in a rugby context. Rugby is a complicated game to get right, cricket is not. I hope I am wrong. The early footage I have seen just doesn't fill me with any hope, maybe Big Ant have just burnt me too much with their Cricket games and I can't see through the flames anymore!

​@@Odd1x Looks to be the same engine, I just hope Big Ant aren't stretched to thin, Cricket 24 is far from a finished product a long way into it's life cycle, I think they do an AFL game as well. I would love to see them smash Rugby 25 out of the park, early signs are...well you've played it I haven't so I can't really judge. It just looks like a very frustrating game to play, as is Cricket 24 even now. We need a good rugby game that isn't Jonah Lomu Rugby!
