My favourite try of the year was the Chilean fly half against the USA Qualifying leg in Chile. It was torrential rain and the pitch was more a lake. He did awesome to score that try and that should’ve been included on this list. Go watch it. Even the very best of the top tier 1 nations, would’ve struggled in those conditions. He made it look like he was gliding through the whole USA team. Epic stuff

You have missed Fernandez v USA (try of the year at World Rugby awards), Moodie vs Australia, Capuozzo 1st vs Australia was worthy the inclusion, Teddy Thomas in Barbarians vs NZ XV. NZ Maori scored some amazing tries and also Jalibert set up or score by himself a couple of brilliant ones vs Japan.

Rugby beginner here. Why does a team kick the ball down field IF they already have pocession and the other team has 2 guys all the way down there and you dont ??

To gain territory as your team can chase the kick and be further in there half. Hope this helps

If you are slogging away in your own half, under pressure to retain possession everytime your guy gets tackled, then you are probably gonna be forced to give away a penalty soon enough. Which they will pop over the bar for easy points. Or worse, turn over the ball near your own try line. Playing the game in their territory gives you more room for error. Kinda the same reason NFL teams kick on 4th down -- the odds don't look good to run the ball right now, so lets shift the game as far into their territory as we can.

Maybe I missed one, but 10 minutes into an 11 minute video before we see a single try from Ireland? It was probably the most controversial try they scored that year as well.
