He played quarterback in college for Brigham Young University (BYU for short) in Utah. Has a bunch of great highlight plays from his time there (single-handedly destroyed Texas TWICE). One thing every fan may not know is that he only played 1 full season due to several freak injuries he sustained in college. At the combine he ran a 4.44-second 40, which I think is the third fastest time ever for a QB. He went undrafted and at first was on the Packers' roster for the 2017 preseason. After they released him the Saints picked him up and he's slowly made a name for himself because of his versatility. A few people have compared him to Steve Young, if you've gotten a chance to see some of that guy's highlights.

Guys like Taysom Hill are always fan favorites because they will do anything asked of them in order to get on the field and contribute. His natural position is quarterback, which makes it all the more atypical that he would do what he does. As a general rule, quarterbacks are very committed to being quarterbacks at the expense of being anything else. Years ago, there was a player by the name of Jensen who played for the Dolphins, if memory serves. He was very similar, except that most of his playing time was defensive/special teams.

He's a great athlete all around. Technically he's their backup quarterback (third-string in most of these plays) but he's such a good athlete that they just used him all over the field and he made it work. QB was probably the area that he was used in the *least*. He's got speed, he's got power, he's got moves, and he's a very smart player. And they absolutely adore him in New Orleans, rightfully so.

If you want a change of pace from all the skill players (though they're generally the more exciting ones to watch), check out Quenton Nelson of the Colts. He's a left guard that absolutely dominated last season; he puts defensive linemen on their ass all game every game. I don't even really like the Colts, but it's like watching a force of nature, you just can't stop watching him make the second biggest men on the field look like children.
