Bit late to this video but great analysis!!, one thing though I believe should be added that also increases distance is the front foot The placement of the front foot is vital in many aspects but especially in distance as it can determine the leverage and power you can put into the footy

Hey damo I need some tips for my next season i want to move in feild into the halves or fullback I'm already really agile and have decent kicking game but I'd like tips on kicking and tackling for the u11s

At that age just have fun. The best thing you can do when your young is play and make mistakes that way you can learn from them. You got years to learn your craft don’t stress and pressure yourself. If you do want to take the extra time to learn the key to kicking and tackling is learning and understanding technique. You won’t become a top tackler/kicker/passer overnight, so take the time to learn a good technique then build from there.

This isn't true, it's just preference. Examples of 2 of the best goal kickers in NRL currently - Cleary's routine is 4 back 3 left, Reynolds is just 4 back depending on the angle.

The reason majority of the kicks went to the left and right was because your leg came around to your plant foot I shouldn’t be doing that you want to make sure it stays forward

Yea I know mate, in this video I wasn’t focusing on taking a proper run up or kicking right I just walked back and kicked it for demonstration sake. But for those still learning you are right and it’s a good tip to keep in mind

It's just reps, make sure your drop is clean as well. Use the seams to aim, you usually point the seams in the direction you want it to go. Play around with the timing as well, some people prefer making contact almost instantly after the ball hits the floor, some prefer a slight bounce on it

I find placing the ball higher on the tee I get more distance and height
@reverseclouds1663
@reverseclouds1663 Жыл бұрын
That’s because the sweet spot is smaller but more effective, the thing with it though and I’m sure you’ve found it out that when you hit it most of the time clean as hell but when you miss the sweet spot it’s the worse kick known to man
@cccmmm1093
@cccmmm1093 10 ай бұрын
Everyone's different, the general thing is lower tees are usually more accurate however you're gonna need to put a bit into it, while higher tees are easier to kick for height etc. however they can go all over the place. It's just a preference
