Development is key before bidding for an NRL team. Handpicking "raw talent" in a team sport nowadays is not effective. We need structure, programs, early developments and proper training. The game in PNG has improved much. Scoring four tries is hude, comparing most PNG players as reserve graders to an nrl select side. There was a time in history that Roos won 36 to 6 in townville years back. There was also a Kangeroos tour, when the Highlands Zone lost 6 to 28. The Kumuls are scoring more tries, an indication that Kumuls are improving. The Kangaroos are thw only team, that the Kumuls have not beaten in a game yet, but is coming soon

The Australian government referred to us as their backyards, clearly we pngns don’t have a future in sports we need development and we need Human Resources. Giving us a space in NRL or even providing us with aids it’s just like giving candies if they really care they would have open up trade doors for us and help us in the development of our country. Young people need to focus on their education rather than wasting time on rugby .

The kumuls have been playing the kangaroos for years & have yet to win one. Need to play smart & work really hard at defence. Need to develop a clinic on how to close the gaps quickly in defence. Need to play smart thinking football rather than straight up the middle all the time. Get some playmakers. Players who can read the game & find gaps through opponent's defence etc. We can improve. Train hard to build up stamina to last 100 minutes. All those things. Hire a good coach & trainers. Make it a goal to win one next year please????

@@markdowse3572 NRL is not a Development pathway, it is the elite level of Rugby League. What PNGRL needs to do is identify this talented individuals at an early age and develop them into elite rugby players, then they can be able to be competitive with NRL players
