I honestly do not think I have ever seen anybody zero a rifle shooting off-hand. Most of us use a bench rest, or at least shot from the prone position.

Poor folks don't have much alternative. The upside is that you're zeroing in the same position you'll be hunting. That make more difference than a lot of people realize.

with that rifle and the 300 blackout ammo you are right you have 2 points where your rifle is spot on .... 25 yd and 75 yd roughly ... I dont know where you get the 150yd or 200 yd from ... but 300 blackout drops like a rock !

I do use the same rubber bands to brand my magazines as .300 BLK (same color)

A review that says I'm happy with the rifle the bolt action is really smooth and magazine compatibility is great are useful points. Myself and everyone else who hasn't bought the rifle yet all really wanna know is it inherently accurate? When you talk about accuracy it makes more sense to use a common method like shooting groups from a bench or the prone, make sight adjustments, and shoot more groups to confirm; If you have the time and money for it repeat the process with different brands of ammo. At least then everybody watching knows how accurate the gun is and not that you were just having a good or bad day shooting the rifle unsupported

I know you made this video a long time ago, but I want to thank you for taking the time to do it. I am a huge 300 BLK fan and am planning to buy this gun. You are the first person I have seen shooting it off hand except for James Reeves at TFB TV. This will be my first bolt 300 BLK gun. My other guns are all ARs and there is a significant difference in how they perform when compared to each other. I am going to be very interested to see what the ballistics are like out of the hammer forged barrel everyone is bragging about. Again, thank you for the video.
@adama12944 жыл бұрын
look up the hasty sling firing position. It will greatly improve your stability when firing. I love the Magazine caliber bands you use. Now I am gona have to get them. Also try working the bolt with your trigger finger, by not taking your hand totally off the stock, you can shoot faster with the bolt action.

Please add reply comment identifying make and model, etc. of your accessories: the sling, the scope, the scope mounts, the "comp," and the mags as the audio is not always clear and I am not accustomed to your voice. Would also love to see more videos of you shooting this particular rifle as equipped and used in this one. Many thanks!!!!

12/19/20 WOW I wished I had the ammo you just burnt through making this video!! I just bought my RA 300BO and love it so far. Action still stiff, hopefully it will get better with time. Amazing the drop at 100 from HV to Subs, probably 10-11 inches.

Its not ridiculous at all. In fact, it will give you the truest zero you can get. Rests and bipods can change your point of impact. Zero how you shoot, and you will know where you are shooting.

Projectiles never arc upwards, never! However all projectiles shot regardless of caliber leave barrel muzzle horizontal straight and from straight horizontal start dropping downward! They don’t arc upward before downward radius drop! People tend mistake recoil lifting muzzle upward as if projectile travels in upward arc path from muzzle which isn’t the case! Gravity constant force of physics!

i'd consider the 224 valkyrie,the ammo is more available,its flatter shooting and more likely more accurate. the 300blk has a rainbow trajectory,the 224V is very flat shooting.
