.45 is a great carbine round. Hits hard and without over penetration. Makes a big hole and it even in a handgun it is very controllable. For a pistol caliber carbine very good choice especially if you have a 1911. The pairing is similar to if you had a.357 revolver and bought a lever action rifle in .357. Bulk ammo purchases for two pretty different firearms makes them an easy choice. Hickok rang all of the targets. He makes everything look easy, he is the finest of shooters ever. How he rings the gong. He is the man

Was always more into the Ruger 10/77 for the .357 mag carbine and pistol match up. I definitely hear what you're saying though. I was thinking the same thing being a .45acp guy who uses it for a carry piece. I think it would be a great matchup as a truck gun but I would have to trade over to Glock from m&p to have compatible mags. Well now this is a interesting video and a very interesting fire arm. I wanted one of these Ruger LC45 ACP carbine the first time I saw one. Since they are new for 2024 I was unable to find one very easily and about the only place I could find one was on gun brokers with a very hefty price. So last month I decided to check with my local gun shop knowing that they wouldn't have one. I thought maybe it might be worth a try. I called my phone and the guy said I think I've got one in the back. It just came in today. He went back checked and came back to the phone saying I do have t one. Informed him that I would be there soon. The gun store guy was definitely right. He had one in the back and brought it out to show me. It was exactly what I wanted so I purchased it for $799.99. mine is a really good shooter and I put a Romeo 5 red dot on it. Also, I have a silencer Central suppressor that makes it so very quiet.

Physics major here, 3:12 moving the distance between sights makes you less accurate, your sight radius it’s lower, but you are hickok45 after all!
@jstud9999 ай бұрын
I don’t think this is true…
@hickok459 ай бұрын
Yeah, less sight radius can make one shoot less accurately or precisely, mainly due to the fact that the sight picture is a little less refined or precise. Generally, the shorter firearms with short sight radius are now less accurate at all; it's just that the shorter the sight radius the more difficult it is to get as precise a sight picture.

Hi Hicock. For those like myself with a typical smaller screen it would be good if your camera guy could zoom in on the target when you're firing! Often I can't see a buffalo getting nailed. I sure cant see impact on the gong. It's audible of course and the tone depicts the target. Anyhow I like the .45 in anything (except my torso or brain)! Fascinating calibre with such great impact and energy while still comparatively sluggish. LOL... One day I'd like to catch you doing a video of the lever action Winchester 375 Big Bore? Somewhat dated but a real sportsman calibre that shoots easy. Target acquisition ver snappy and pinpoint. An old favourite I parted with for a long bolt calibre. Better to have kept it. I personally think this version is ideal. It becomes a little more compact just by folding the stock. Plus, if a scenario provided too little time to unfold it, you could fire it while it is still folded.
