Thanks man. Late to the party here but just dropped my sigurd trigger in a few weeks ago and I love it. I"m on my third lcp2 22, first two were plagued with the same problems, but my third one runs good. The only problem I've had is the slide rusted after about 6 months, but ruger sent me a new slide assembly. I haven't needed the spring kit yet but glad to know it's available if I need it in the future. I would like a good extended base plate for the mags. Nothing huge, but enough to get three fingers on the grip would be nice, regardless of how many extra rounds it holds. Thanks again.

Mine has zero problems and all I have done to it was installed a new trigger and that is it

Thank you for very helpful videos, novice here, I completely understand the essential spring enhancements. Please explain more if the new trigger also helps reduce the FTE and other issues (I have and) you experienced in the first video. It seems the trigger may be a nice upgrade but not as essential if funds are limited.

The trigger kit really just takes up some of that pretravel. So you just won’t have to pull the trigger as far before you hit the wall. I’d say the spring kit is more essential. I’m going to order a spring kit and try it. I’ve had a lot of light primer strikes but I love the gun and want to carry it but only if I 100% trust it. I have a shield 9mm I carry but love the size and round count on this thing. Hoping to get a spring kit this week and do a review on it after I run 500 rounds thru it.

Git the kit ordered myself. Heck i had great results by just stretching the stock spring but i have a feeling that it will get weak again. So in goes the kit spring

I found premature slide lock back with my lcp and my girlfriends also. Galway needs to make a heavier slide lock spring. Im a lefty so i dont hit the slide lock accidentally. I had to pull the slide lock spring out and stretch it out slightly and it seems to have taken care of the problem. Many people are having this issue but are stating its a failure to feed. The bullet isn't touching the barrel and the slide lock is up.Look into a new and heavier slide lock spring.

To clarify, the Slide Lock Spring is not part of our Spring Kit. I will be happy to put that on our product request list and we'll see if we can make that happen for you.

Failure of the slide to come back far enough to pickup the next round can also occur if your thumb, etc. is riding the slide during recoil. It doesn't take much contact to change the timing.

I added your spring kit and sigurd trigger to my lcp2 22lr.Fires and ejects all types of ammo! Excellent! However in my quest to make everything better i also ordered an MCARBO extra power recoil spring they advertise for this pistol.What was happening was randomly the pistol would EJECT then FEED but not cock the hammer! switched back to the stock recoil spring and no problems! There are no specs on their spring so cant tell you whats different on it but it made my weapon unreliable.Just food for thought if your thinking of messing with a new recoil spring.Again the kit Galloway offers IS excellent,Thank you!

@@ronaldjdonald6003 No .22lr handgun is 100% reliable but mine was pretty close.The Max 380 i replaced it with however IS and has been 100% reliable since i added the galloway 13# recoil spring.

Just ordered the spring kit! Hope it cures what ails my new lcpii22lr!! I absolutely love it... Except for all the training it's giving me with clearing malfunctions!!!

Did it make a difference for you? I had 100%, that's 100% fail to feed on my LCP2 22, and several light primers and some stove pipes. So any solution is greatly welcome.

I installed the spring and trigger kit and nothing changed with my big box of fiocchi high velocity, quite sure it junk ammo and not the gun,

@@XRinger I have shot lots of different ammo through it by now, and it seems to be much more reliable than it used to be. I’d say I shoot mostly federal bulk now but I have so much of different kinds, but it does much better

I am not aware of any problems with our spring kit. Our spring kit is designed to resolve the stock LCP II issues. To what are you referring to?

I've had the problem of firing a shot, sounds and feels normal, and then try to take the next shot and the trigger will not move, totally frozen. When I pull back the slide the chamber is empty and the top round on the mag looks unmoved. After racking it fires. It occurred about 8-10 times in 240 rounds of HV 22lr 40gr cprn. Anybody know anything about this?

Additionally, I sent back to Ruger and they said they ran 80 rounds through the pistol and "could not duplicate" the issue and they sent it back to me without any adjustment, repair or alteration.

Had exact similar problem but mine was 100% fail to feed on about 50 rds with three different ammos (1150, 1200, 1280 FPS).had to manually cycle each round. Any solution worked for you?

Happened to me too. The slide is moving far enough to eject an empty case, but not far enough to strip a new round from the mag or cock the hammer. Could be an underpowered round.

I just installed the spring kit and I can report that it greatly reduced failure to fires, as I hoped it would. I still get some FTFs with the bulk box stuff, but that has always been the case with 22lr. The manufacturers seem to take more care with the premium brand primers.

Good review! I have one and experienced all the same issues. I ordered the Mcarbo spring kit, guide rod and recoil spring. I put the guide rod, recoil spring and the firing pin spring I’m and that help allot. I haven’t replaced the trigger return spring or the hammer spring yet. But planning on it. It didn’t come with an extractor spring tho? I’m wondering if I should order the Galloway Precision spring kit and just use the extractor spring. (I don’t believe they sell it separately) any advice on using parts from two different companies? Thank you!!

We engineer our spring kits to use all of our parts in the kit for proper results. We do not test or recommend mixing our parts with any other companies parts.

Did the spring kit and Sigurd trigger reduce the trigger pull weight? If so, do you have the before and after numbers?

The spring kit and trigger are not designed or advertised to lessen the trigger pull weight. The spring kit is designed to make the 22LR more reliable by increasing the striking power and addressing the extraction issues requiring increased rate hammer and extractor springs, not reduced. The Sigurd Trigger is designed to shorten the trigger pull only and not reduce the pull weight

It does really just drop in, but in essence it does just go in after removing the old one. And when you put in this trigger it will eliminate the mag disconnect.
