Me too! I've never had problems with the mags even in the plus 1 configuration. In my opinion its one of the best 380's on the market and still smaller then the new S&W Bodyguard 2.0 380 which I shot today for the first time. In IMO they both shoot equally well, but the LCP Max is still a little bit smaller but that little difference in size makes a big difference to me in the pocket. Another thing I like about the LCP Max is the trigger guard is bigger and it makes it easier for when wearing gloves. After being out for awhile when the price drops on the new M&P bodyguard 2.0 380 I will purchase one to have as another placement gun and pocket gun choice in 380. Thanks for sharing.

A lot of people have said the slide not locking back happens frequently and the reason for that is the Magazines. The retention cuts on the magazine are way too big and sloppy. I didn't put the pinky extension on and my pinky curls under the magazine and pushes it up into the pistol and presto! Last round hold open becomes reliable. I never wanted the 12 round magazine anyway for a concealment pistol so I bought a pair of 10 round magazines for $42 to go with the one that came with the pistol. The floor plates are wiggly but they have stayed on mine. The magazine release on mine was rough as a cob until I had a few thousand presses on it with loaded magazines to put pressure on the magazine release. I like mine as is for what it is. My body chemistry is highly acid and I haven't rusted the slide yet.

Wive uses a Gazelle holster no longer available. Great review! Thank you.

@@ghosthunter7775 thank you for your reply. On both guns if I load a full magazine (except for 1 ten round magazine out of 5 10/12 round magazines) with one in the chamber the gun will shoot BUT the slide won’t cycle correctly as to eject the empty case and load a new round. This magazine will function correctly 8 out ten times will the others will work 3-4 times out of 10 times. Again this only happens when I load the plus (extra) round with a full magazine.

I bought a Bodyguard 2.0 and still ended up buying a 2nd LCP Max (the 75th Anniversary model with the flag). I like the BG, but it just doesn't feel as "pocketable" as the Max. Plus it's significantly higher than the current sale price on the Ruger, and twelve round mags for the Max are a LOT cheaper (regularly see 2-packs for $43+/-...)

I don't have a 12 round but I did buy the 2 pack of 10 rounds and they were $43 and seem to be better than the Ruger mags. I have heard that Ruger subbed out the manufacture to Mecar Italy. I'd have never bought the LCP Max 75th if I hadn't seen it for $259 new. I found the Ruger LC9 EC was $259 also and a spare 10rd mac for the 9EC was $28. I actually think the Keltec P3AT was better than first gen Rugers. I do like the LCP Max, but if I only had one pistol, it wouldn't be it.

@@GSquaredTactical The LCP Max while not inaccurate, shoots way low. The factory Ruger magazine will not activate the last round hold open, while the two pack magazines (Ruger branded) did. I wouldn't buy a load of spring kits to improve a Ruger LCP Max but I would buy a $15 rear sight that was about 1/16th of an inch taller. The LCP Max has something to recommend it, magazine capacity. I shoot target with the same ammo I carry which is the Sinter Fire NXG 70gr lead free flat point ball ammunition which performs pretty well in gel or against car bodies and does what it does practically every time with mild recoil. If I could only have one pistol, to do absolutely everything with it would probably be a 1911 or Glock in 10mm and it would go in the gym bag rather than gym shorts.

The slide serrations on the stainless steel Max anniversary were pretty much razor sharp and that by itself was a deal breaker. There is no reason for Ruger to have shipped these out without taking a minute or two with a buffing wheel and compound to round off those sharp edges. How does kick compare to max 9 and shield ez (380)?
@adrianlouviere76506 ай бұрын
@@jpconard I do not have either of those guns. My Ruger MAX does have a strong recoil. I can shoot my 9mm Smith & Wesen Shield plus much better. Hope that helps.

Rugers quality and QC has dropped off a cliff in recent years. 10/22 75th was absolutely awful first came with an oil soaked stock second came with 1/4” gaps around the receiver. Would not purchase another Ruger moving forward.

I think things the past few years went a little sideways for most manufacturers(due to bad government policies). Even my much praised (for being bomb proof) H&K P2000sk failed at a shockingly low round count(400 rnds) The trigger return spring failed causing a dead trigger. The major thing for me is how a company deals with their mistake. In my case with H&K, they were AMAZING. Very friendly to deal with and they had the pistol fixed and returned to me in less than a week!

Customer service is very important and Ruger has a great reputation for wonderful customer service. I’ve never dealt with the customer service at H&K The only customer service I’ve ever dealt with is Mossberg, which was a horrible experience, Magnum research which was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, S&W which was so so and Glock, which was the worst customer service I’ve ever had even worse than Mossberg
@jasonroberts93574 ай бұрын
@@GSquaredTactical No doubt! Ruger's customer service is legendary. Out of the 10+ Ruger pistols/rifles I've owned, I've only had to send in one pistol. The customer service agent was excellent, the repair service was prompt, and they paid for shipping both ways. That's sad to hear about Mossberg. I expected more from a great American family owned company. I've had a good experience with S&W. I had an old M&P 40c that needed some striker components upgrades and I lost the old version of striker keeper. They sent me multiple parts for free and they paid shipping. I wonder if S&W suffered from some issues during their transition to the new plant in Tennessee? That's crazy about Glock. I thought Glock cared more about their customers. I would love to hear more about your situation with Glock. I can fully recommend H&K ! For a company that people have given a reputation for saying "you suck, and we hate you!" In real life, they are excellent. I had a repair issue with a P2000sk. The customer service agent friendly and the repair service was profession and FAST. The repair and shipping only took 1 week. Only down side is the make you pay for shipping to them. They were close to Ruger in terms of repair process. The new slogan for H&K should be "you're the best, and we love you!"😂😂

The guy that originally was doing the KZbin channel with me resigned, and I had to take over editing and I’m still learning. I just recently learned that I can flip the orientation when I edit the video because it’s difficult to film with a camera behind me because I can’t watch the screen to be sure I’m still in the shot so bear with me while I try to figure all of this out, but I’m learning as I go. @@GSquaredTactical the mcarbo trigger is metal and adjustable. Its sits a little father back in the trigger guard and has a crisper break. If you change the springs it will get rid of the "ping" sound and lighten up the trigger pull. I love it.
