The only Ruger Mark IV Target long barrel pistol known to exist in the UK. We head down the range with this one off creation to see how it performs and head back to the Blue Fieldsports gunroom to give a full review and overview.

10 rounds is the standard capacity for a lot of .22LR pistols. It's also the only "officially" available magazine capacity for the Ruger Mk series. It can be increased to 11 rounds by a special third party follower.

Gotta love the .22 calibre guns I have an anshultz 1903 target rifle firing 22 calibre shorts that I use for competition prone rifle shooting. love it to bits but would love it if i could shoot other guns as I love participating in shoots and competitions and love the feeling.❤

I got the Mark IV 10 inch barrel Target pistol a few month ago. It's way too front heavy. Without an over or under arm brace attached to the grip of the pistol for supported by the arm of the shooting hand, you can forget about being able hold the pistol steady enough to shoot it accurately from a freehand position. I ground off 2 inch of the barrel and counter bored / recrowned the muzzle. The resulting shorter 8 inch barrel made the pistol significantly less front heavy and better balanced for shooting from a freehand position.

Though this model isn't my particular cup of tea it's a shame that there likely won't be more coming in. I really like LBPs/LBRs (as a next best thing obviously). Would love it if Glock made a version of their 44 for us on the mainland - though that said it's clearly had some problems... A first improved version then.

Are you allowed to order gun magazines direct from the United States or are you restricted on buying them from a gun shop. I was not sure if customs would flag them.

You're not restricted on buying them in this country, so I would assume, you can import them, and might be down to wether or not where you order them from will ship them over here. I have no proof of that though, I'd use the term "common sense", but that phrase doesn't really gel very well with uk gun regulations, lol.

I don’t think any firearm parts can be sent privately even to an RFD from America to uk, I tried to get an extractor for a shotgun from USA no chance.

@@TheYjmfan As far as I know, the US have strict regulations when it comes to importing or exporting firearm parts, even if you just want to buy grip scales or handguards. You could try to buy from Germany, Austria or the Czech Republic.

Magazines are regulated by ITAR in the US, I’m not saying that they don’t get out, but without an ATF approved form6, they’re not supposed to, then add in going thru UK customs...

@@c4four132 only rimfire handguns are allowed for new licenses with no stock thing or longer barrell like the uk has. centerfire handguns are allowed for shooters who had them before 2008 or vetnerians for humane dispatch. Handguns are allowed in northern ireland even for protection
