TBA Sicario Review

A quick review on the TBA Suppressor Sicario built off a Stainless Ruger MK IV Target pistol.

Absolutely beautiful pistol, very clearly put together by craftsmen that care about their workmanship! Other than with the CCI Stingers, it was as quiet as the proverbial church mouse. The suppressor was beautifully made, it exuded quality from every angle. Thank you for your objective and consice presentation, with excellent videography and lighting. Subscribed.

I always respect when someone like you who knows about fire arms you make sure do a safty check on camera with so many of the people that do these overviews don't and I always comment on that because if someone is new to guns that is the most important part of the video we take it for granted but a newbie needs to see it and make sure they have these things drilled in there heads I personally am not a gun expert but as far as safty goes I check eveytime I pick up a gun point it towards the floor if I go to the rest room I'll check it again it might seem like over kill but I think it's a good practice and the most important part of the gun world and it should become something that everyone does before they move on to the fun part guns are alot of fun I love a trip to the range but I follow all of there rules because one simple mistake could hurt or kill so easy keep shooting but be responsible thank you

Yea you can hear with the stingers she has some crack. My can with HV ammo is substantially quieter than that. Barrel length alone is usually enough to stop those rounds from reaching full velocity.

Cool: but I wish it had a more modern and effective baffle design. In .22lr probably sounds pretty good: but if you can more baffles and a tighter gas drive it would be much quieter. Thanks for posting man.

Nah, there’s no need. It’s insanely quiet, and this design makes cleaning super super easy. The audio does not do it Justice.

Maybe next video you can show us the trailer you use to haul that giant .22 to the range with. 😂 Honestly the Walther ppk is much quieter lighter and all ammo is subsonic. Hes right the design isnt that good. The ported barrel isnt ported(along the barrel ) enough to do what it is supposed to do. Monocores are a 21st century version of washer silencers.

Nah, I’ve got one of those, too. It’s definitely not as quiet. Not to mention, with Walther PPK/s 22LR doesn’t work 90% of the time.

I have about 10 sets of Lok Grips, and Lok Grips does not make grips for the Ruger MK IV.

Yeah, that’s a 1911’s style grip frame. They don’t make them for the original MKIV.

I chose the stainless because the color match is perfect. The Titanium is a little off. I don’t think it’s heavy. It’s well balanced.

For cleaning of the monocore, what's your best/easiest approach? Do you soak at all?

I do not soak it. Even if I let it get super dirty, I’ll use a knife to chip off the big flakes of carbon, hit it with a brush, some Hoppe’s and a wipe, then finish it off with a coating of welding Anti-Spatter spray. Works amazing at keeping carbon from building up and sticking.

@@10_8guns6 wow so just good old Lincoln or Weld-Aid spray. Never heard of using that. My Sicario is being milled and engraved as we speak. I'll have to try that technique.

That’s is!!!! And not just that, it works great on any user-serviceable suppressor!! I learned about it for my MP5SD, and since then, I’ve done it to all my suppressors! Congrats on the Sicario, you’re going to love it.

How long is the barrel, pre-suppressor?

The barrel is shortened from 5.5” factory length, down to 4.5”, so only 1” is taken off.
