Jessy Sajquim I'm buying this as my first hand gun Monday. I wanted to get a compact .38 or 9mm for carrying but they aren't that much fun at the range. Now I want this because it'll be fun and easy and I can buy tons of rounds for next to nothing. A lot of KZbin videos saying 22 is great for getting trigger time

That gun frame is milled from one slab of stainless steel! That’s one of the many reasons why this outstanding pistol can justify a price premium.

Thank you for the close up review. I have been undecided about what type of Mark IV pistol to buy but your review makes me appreciate this stainless steel design. Such a beautiful pistol with a classical handle design. I will save the 22/45 grip for my next 1911/2011 pistol. Thumps Up on your review sir!

A great improvement for an already great .22 pistol. Too bad they went the route of a cheap cardboard box instead of a hard plastic case like what came with my Mark III Hunter.

I have a question for you. I just picked up a Mark iv Hunter a few hours ago. I was at a local gun shop, they had one, and I took it. My question is the bolt stop seems loose when the slide is closed. If you shake the pistol in your hand you can hear it click around. It holds the bolt open like its supposed to, just not sure it should slap around like that.

I have a Mark III target model that is a great shooter and very accurate; but as you say the take down is a major pain in the ass!! I don't shot it very much for that very reason. I'd love to buy this new version but I'd take a huge loss if I sold my Mark III which is what I'd have to do. I couldn't see myself buying a new one and have the old one sit in the safe never to be shot again......

I love my MKIV but it would never replace my MKI 6 7/8” Heavy Tapered Target Barrel with it. I always thought that I was just a normal person but I guess I belong to a elite group as I have never had a problem taking down and assembly with my assorted MK series pistols.

Beautiful, user-friendly pistol, however, for me, Ruger blew it with the lawyer-proof trigger! Just bought a Mk iv 22/45 lite for $500 and now installing a Volquartsen trigger for another $260. Love my Mk II triggers - I have four of them. A 5 lb trigger SUCKS!

Great HD Quality of your video! I Have a question: is the front sight material metal or plastic? Hope so metal.. . The disassembly seems to be very easy and breaks new ground - nice feature from Ruger. I haven't seen this model in Germany at the shooting range - perhaps too new.... it cost roughly 1095 Euro ( 1228 Dollar) here.
