I had a friend that had one of these and he's also into handloading. Now just for the hell of it he came up with a "10mm auto rim" wildcat cartridge, that way he wouldn't have to futz with moon clips. What he did was take .30-30 brass and cut it down, fire formed and reamed it a bit. BAM he had brass of the perfect dimensions but with a rim!

I have a few Rugers now, and I'm happy with all of them, including this same model. I did change to a rubber grip, as it is way more comfy to shoot at the range all day. Never had a problem, and Rugers will handle all the hottest loads.

would have been neat if it had the smooth trigger pull the security 6 had tried the gp100 dry fire trigger pull does not come close to a security 6
