Today we take out two Ruger Single Six Convertible revolvers and take them to the range. We test their accuracy while comparing their performance using both 22 long rifle and 22 magnum (22 WMR)

My uncle has had one of these for decades, and I think every one of my neighbors here in the South has one. My neighbor across the street plinks with the 22LR cylinder, and keeps the Magnum cylinder loaded as his home defense bedside gun. Really nice pistols.

Thanks my Friend! Yes, they are very popular revolvers. Well built and shoot both 22lr and 22mag very well. Take care and have a great weekend!

Pretty consistent. If I was shooting I'd been all over the place. I love those single six pistols too. Great little revolvers.

Thanks Cervus! I guess we both had 22 revolvers on the brain 😁

Thanks for doing the testing, it looks like a lot of fun & work. Back in the early '80s I made the mistake of buying a Ruger conversion with a 9.5" barrel, it wasn't fun to shoot.

Thanks for watching! It was fun to film. I've loved 22lr/mag revolvers since I was a kid. Everyone should have one!

I appreciate your kind words! It was a fun video to make. But filming and editing does take time. So I'm very glad you liked it.

@@texmexshoots no worries We get these in Australia in .357 and .22lr.

Thanks, interesting video. I might suggest that you number the chambers and then always try to index at #1, to see if those fliers are coming from particular chambers. Maybe those cowboys of old who carried five cartridges in their six-round revolvers knew something... Thanks for taking us along today.

Thanks as always for watching Frank! I had never thought of that. I'll need to try that out and see if it is the same chamber causing the fliers.

@@texmexshoots That might make a good video on it's own. Back in the day the top tier revolver gunsmiths use to do that so you'd know which chambers were the most accurate.

I used to have one of those conversion .22s. It had a blued finish and a six and one half inch barrel like yours. I liked it okay, but hated the trigger creep it had. I wound up selling it to a buddy who loved it and he enjoyed it way more than I did.

@@johndilday1846 Thanks for watching John! I'm sorry you didn't like the trigger on yours. Both my New Model Convertibles have relatively decent triggers. Truth be told, if you want a 22lr with a great trigger, you are best off with a semi-auto 22 pistol like a buckmark.

@@frankhinkle5772 Thanks for the idea! I'll put it on my list of upcoming videos to film.
