Rugged Hardtail Exploration in Pole & Ivie Canyons! | Mountain Biking Fish Lake, Utah

Pole & Ivie Canyons east of Fish Lake were two I'd not explored yet, so me and the doggies checked them out! Rocky and rugged trails as are typical in the Fish Lake area, made extra wild when riding a hardtail!

Awesome ride cows and all (cool pups didn't even chase them) Hardtails keep ya honest. You running 120mm travel or did you bump it up a bit?

Running 130mm travel with a 1.5° angled headset to help it handle the steeps a bit better. Fun little bike! Definitely makes you a better rider spending time on a hardtail

Most of these trails and roads were first used by the Native Americans. The pioneers and trappers AND MINERS followed them usually in search of timber and other resources until they got washed out and sometimes re routed. Here in Escalante alot of the trails we ride started out this way. Some turned into roads some became horse and Atv trails. Some have vanished due to erosion. But you can always expect to find juniper stumps and chippings and some artifacts along these corridors.

Hello, greetings from Escalante in Spain, Cantabria. In 2001 I was riding a mtb through Crested Butte, Gunninson, Vail and Moab. It was a wonderful experience with the North American people and their incredible landscapes. What we liked the most was Moab since It is a unique place, the other areas can be found in Spain, but not Moab. Unfortunately, on 😢😢😢9/11, a sad day that I will never forget, I suffered a serious blow in Moab but I was able to recover and get out on my own. Afterwards we went to Vail, which It was the Mtb world championship and friends were running in the Spanish Mtb team. Greetings and thank you very much for your effort in making these videos that are out of the ordinary.

@@Svenson612 I lived in Moab 91-93 and bought my first mtn bike there( A used fully rigid bike.) Most of the trails I rode are now atv or jeep roads
