Performance straordinaria, da piccolo amavo guardare un barbiere che aveva lui come Don Basilio e quest'aria era la mia parte preferita. è straordinario vedere che a questa età Ruggero è capace di eseguire il pezzo non solo magistralmente, ma con così tanta allegria e vitalità che manca a tanti performer con 1/4 dei suoi anni! Un grandissimo esempio!

what an amazing performance! One of my favorite singers, I remember when I was real young listening to a barber of seville with him as don basilio, I always loved this part! And it is amazing seeing that still, at his current age, he sings it not only so well, but also with such happiness and liveliness!!! Really a marvelous example of a good man.

Les aigus sont toujours là et magnifiques, mais pour le reste, la qualité du son est beaucoup moins soignée et pleine qu'autrefois, la voix se rapprochant beaucoup trop de la voix parlée. Je soupçonne que dû à l'âge, il n'a plus l'endurance de ses jeunes années et qu'il garde son énergie pour les notes aigues, multipliant ainsi dans le médium et de façon exagéré, à mon humble avis, les effets théâtraux, au déprimant aussi de la ligne mélodique et du phrasé musical. Bien sûr, il est remarquable pour son âge, mais à un moment donné, il faut savoir se retirer dans nos bonnes années comme le faisait les grands d'autrefois...

In linea di massima concordo con questo suo commento, però Raimondi si è ritirato da tempo, questo credo sia stato qualche suo “omaggio” a qualche gala importante…è straordinario vedere che animale da palcoscenico sia ancora e, soprattutto, reggere abbastanza bene la tessitura della versione alta della calunnia, a quasi ottanta anni tirare acuti del genere non è scontato…
