Is the former CC you are referring to Peek? I’m newer to the game, but he was one of the top content creators I came across when trying to learn the game from KZbin tutorials I’m unhappy with the spectral vault crates reducing the drop rates for up-level crates, compared to the Santa ones. I bought the necessary amount of crates (and more) to get this ship. I had horrendous luck with the crates. The price is a problem but as you said were use to that by now and know what we’re getting into. My biggest complaint is, as a veteran player who already has plentiful resources and most of the ships. The crates simply are not a smart purchase for me. Had war gaming put the ‘bonus’ cybercents behind doubloon purchases rather than crate purchases then I as a veteran player could have used those doubloons in whatever way I wanted whether that be crates, gxp conversion, buying remaining ships outright etc and WG still gets their money. I think that’s a good way to still charge a stupid amount but be that little bit more consumer friendly.

I'll never understand the complaints about the cost of this game. I have played for about a year in a half. I have several premium ships from global XP, crate drops, and the bureau. I have also been able to save up doubloons to purchase a couple of campaigns (I should have been smarter about this in the beginning. All told I have spent a total of zero dollars on this game. I have just as much fun with a premium ship as I do with a regular one. I think working towards a ship is more fun than just buying it. Sure, there have been times I wish I could get the campaign and couldn't, but I never lost sleep of it. I also would love for WOWL to make some changes (new game modes, AA animations, improved mechanics to encourage team play). I just don't understand people freaking out about the cost of some of these ships/skins/commanders. This game is completely free to play.

This year they didnt even consider the value of the even currency. You could get a (reskinned) T7 with them, but to have Lauria, you need to use them and still pay the same you payed for BA Montana in crates. So you have to pay around 35k worth of doubloons (including AB), but the ship is actually worth 50k dubs (32,5k + 17,5). Its one thing to limit a ship that cares less about angling, but it shouldnt be like this! GGs, happy holidays and a happy new year! ☃️🧑‍🎄🎉🎆

Oh and by the way, Ohio cost 17,5k dubs to get (with AB included) but this one had the determined value for a LT ship correctly (15 + 17,5 = 32,5), since the event currency you needed to use could also get you a T7 instead. And remember, this is all if you get just one ship. Prices are even higher for the two you don't use the event currency on because you also have to make up for them. For Dupleix, as an example you need to pay like 20k dubs to also get her and that is double a T5 price. 45k for Pozharsky if you go get her after too. We are talking about around 100k dubs to get all the event ships😮.

Every year I’ve played I’ve bought the campaign and splurged for the XMas LT FoMo ship. That alone this year was like $300-$400. That’s a $30 per month subscription, aka *not free to play*. Anybody else notice BA Monty/Louisiana for the summer updates? Moved to 3 FoMo LT ships, (all BBs, shocker). Not to mention not only do u buy the ship, but u gotta have a captain for her too, right? Between the BA collab, Azur Lane, and the new pirates, what, 5-10 new lines got a new “meta” commander. Even somebody like me who plays the game a lot, pays into it, and is halfway decent to see a ROI, is getting washed out. This year I bought -All campaigns BA Montana Louisiana R. Lauria BA Hoshino Robin Le Fierce Vermont bureau 40 summer crates (for Louisiana day1) 40 Specter crates (for Lauria day1) About $900… a months rent on a video game. And I got 3 ships, 2 commanders, 80 crates (for said ships) and the campaigns💀💀 that’ll run u about a grand

I don't understand why Wargaming can't seem to understand the simple concept of Economy of Scale. The $150-ish price of this damn thing is only gonna attract a small number of Blue Whales, when they could attract a huge number of Humpback Whales and ultimately make even MORE money if it were about $20-$30 (They gotta make money, its a business) or so and make everyone happy. More people get a good ship and Wargaming devs/execs get to keep rolling in piles of cash. I'm a certified Blue Whale (I went on a $1,600 Black Friday deal/Christmas crate spree last year. Rant completely justifiable. I'm NOT getting this ship. As a matter of fact, the USS Ohio was my last special event legendary tier ship I will ever buy. What can I say? I love my American battleships. That aside, and I've stated this dozens of times already, but I am done giving my hard-earned money to Wargaming. Ever since the War in Ukraine happened, and ever since they introduce the tier 8 ships, World of Warships Legends has gone downhill. The paywall has become substantially evident, RNG feels WAY too loose for its own good, and they are happier with newbies coming into the game and buying everything in sight without a second thought. At this point, most of the long-time veteran players are gone. And very soon, I might just be that one leaving as well. My friends have left the game. The game's stagnant. There's nothing new that will make the game fun again. And really, it makes me sad. I got into naval history thanks to World of Warships. I got into the rich history of battleships and battlecruisers. I got to walk the decks of USS New Jersey back in June 2021, and USS Massachusetts a few months ago. If it wasn't for the game, I would never dream of visiting such great vessels. It makes you wish there was a better naval game out there for those of us who just want to have a fun time sailing around in our ships and completing whatever.
