NICE PROJECT! The best upgrade of this project will be to publish the data online and refresh the value every minute! It’s petty to use esp32 only for time update while the best feature is the online connectivity!
@RuiSantosdotme3 жыл бұрын
You can definitely use that feature by editing our code!

Thanks for the great project!! Wouldn't it be more fun to be able to read out the actual LUX by using the VEML 7700? It is also not very expensive. It is a pity, it is not being used much, being such a great sensor!

Bom bia, Rui! Don’t forget to add a 300 to 500 Ohms resistor between pin 27 and your DIN. I like your project! Consider som MQTT interface with AWS IoT core

Hey Rui, coming from a Web Developer background do you advise learning Python in order to interact with the microcontrollers? There isn't much support for JavaScript on microcontrollers yet and I feel like C would be too large of a shift at the moment. Whilst Python and JavaScript seem quite similar. Currently I am just using NodeJS running on a Linux environment through the Raspberry Pi.

After soooo long🙃. It will be unbeatable if you have used smd version of Esp32 board and sensor. But still a great project 🤩

@aznsushi413 жыл бұрын
awesome video, how much was the total cost for this?
@RuiSantosdotme3 жыл бұрын
With PCBs and everything, I think it can cost approximately $40-$50 USD (but you'll have to order like 10 PCBs)
@aznsushi413 жыл бұрын
@@RuiSantosdotme Thanks, I was thinking of making 6 for each rooms in my home...thats expensive
@jvrpapa053 жыл бұрын
Might as well get time time on server and use your neopixel rgb led act as like hour, minute and second hand of a clock. 🙂
@RuiSantosdotme3 жыл бұрын
Exactly, that's why I've used 12 neopixels. I'll work on a similar feature for this project in the future

why paying so much for those pcb's? with jlc pcb those 10 pcb's would cost 5$ plus a litte amount for shipping!
@RuiSantosdotme3 жыл бұрын
Exactly what Randall said, the PCB is bigger than standard. You won't be able to purchase them for $5 anywhere.
@robinschrag27183 жыл бұрын
Ok so I uploaded the pcb to jlcpcb and it costs 16$... still half as much as you payd... other option: no need to make it 130*130mm just shrink it to 100*100m and it would be 5$
@hansberg19913 жыл бұрын
@@RuiSantosdotme shame the pcb's are so expensive - not a project I can afford to build.
