I know this video was posted about 4 years ago, but I had a question - given she is a diesel-burning steam locomotive, could Mad Bess run on 100% Biodiesel or even waste vegetable oil without conversion? Thank you!

We don’t know for sure because we haven’t investigated yet. I guess anything is possible but we think at the very least the burners might need modifying for it to work using other forms of diesel.

Great to see her back in service. Hopefully shes in service regularly so i can get down a film her. Have you ever thought of taking her up to ffestiniog for there quirks and curiosities event being a half sized blanche would be popular

kinetic .rail yes it's something we would consider in future as it would be nice to see Bess next to her big sister at some point.

Anthony Hunter Thanks for subscribing, glad you enjoyed this video! I believe there was only one train in operation on this day worked under the one train in steam principle so neither the radio nor the tokens were needed.
