George Coleman is far too underrated and under appreciated.

I once said to Harold Mabern, as a teacher would you sooner have a pupil who was a good reader or had a good ear. To which he replied, without hesitation "a good ear".

There are man versions of this song, Freddie Hubbard's, Benny Golson's and Art Blakey's to name a few; but this one is by far my all time favorite!! Thank you for this post!!

Nice tenor work George, the rhythm section is cool and it all comes together rather nicely!

Ray Drummond : bass; Alvin Queen : drums; George Coleman : tenor saxophone; Harold Mabern : piano.... Elaborate introduction leads into a very swinging piece of jazz music, on trumpeter Freddie Hubbard's classic 6/8 tempo tune...
