Thanks for the great video. Please check the CC as it has been updated with the 3.9 update. The issue with the turret not turning and the TR being too easily angered has been resolved. Thanks.

As for whether the CC has been successfully updated, it can be determined by whether the diplomatic relationship with the TR is at 10 at the start of the campaign.

18:15 I've made a small bomber with remote guidance and it really needs another craft to provide spotting because of stability, works very well with a small stable surveillance plane as long as you change detection setting's to 2 per target with multiple trackers. Just so it doesn't provide spotting for the wrong target but still giving good enough detection required for reliable remote guidance.
@bungalowbill52110 ай бұрын
Instability adds a lot of inaccuracy to remote guided missiles regardless of detection accuracy, so I’d have to build something with more than 0% stability anyway.

Nice video! Good to hear about the pathfinding issue from the software side. I really could not figure out what the deal is with land/sea pathfinding..

Whenever someone complains about it, the devs just say it’s their craft that’s the problem, so it will probably never get better.

Do your fast 30k fighters have ejectors on them? Ive found that rail launching in general is kinda glitchy, and missiles love to get “stuck” on the gantry rail itself. If you put ejectors and have their pitch ejection angle set to 90, it’ll “launch” the missiles away from your craft. You could also even just leave the ejectors alone and they’ll launch the missiles faster than your craft forward.
@bungalowbill52110 ай бұрын
I was having trouble finding room and didn’t think I’d be able to get them to clear the tubes with only one ejector. I might mess around with it a bit more, but ejectors have restrictive placement requirements, so they’re hard to squeeze in without removing missiles or making it a lot thicker.
@edghety256010 ай бұрын
@@bungalowbill521 hallelujah, i thought i was the only person who HATES putting ejectors on things. They just are hard to fit and justify, ESPECIALLY on smaller missiles. But i was just offering a possible solution to the problem. Im just happy your making content for FTD.
@Joey55379 ай бұрын
@@bungalowbill521 You have a bit of free ejection with the rail gantry itself. Selecting "Drop as bomb" makes missiles eject at 90 degree angles. I find that it sometimes helps a bit, but of course the free ejection force with rail gantries isn't exactly massive.

@@bungalowbill521 They're abominations inside and loosely-inspired by the pixel art, made em' all before we got nice 3D models in the Rebootcamp lol -- that'll teach me to take so long on a project. By my account, they're goofy, overspecialized, easily-countered, and have defined, built-in weaknesses that keep them towards the medium-hard end of the spectrum. Looking forward to seeing you give this campaign another go, the concept of tripling damage is kind of a fun one -- though man, shame how strong it makes interceptors.

With regards to the fighter at home: - I think there is a safety module for missiles, that prevents detonation, if it hits the aircraft it was launched from - you definitely can build an aircraft, that can go faster, than 170 m/s without exploits. However, mostly to make them look good, like canted canards and horizontal stabilizers, you'll definitely need to use spin blocks, which will just make the part in question not drag inducing->the aircraft slips into cheeseland... but still, looking cool is never a crime in my book ;). With that being said, I think where most would suffer is the agility department, the fighter at home is actually very nimble due to it's size. Overall, where it could be improved is the drag department to achieve a higher top speed, but it still gets the job done for a very low price.
