4:18 RANDOM TIP FOR SIDECHAINING IN FL STUDIO automations that modulate *the volume slider of a mixer channel* have a slight amount of smoothing applied which isn't ideal if you want tighter/more controlled sidechain TO FIX THIs just put a *fruity balance* on your sidechain channel and automate that instead because that doesn't have any smoothing sure yeah it's like a few extra clicks but it works really well if you dont want a smoothed attack whenever the sidechain triggers; i have my default project file set up so it automatically adds fruity balance to the first mixer channel DON'T BELIEVE ME ? TRY IT OUT URSELF OR SOMETHING IDK

This is good advice but it's worth noting that Balance has smoothing too, just I believe over a shorter time than a mixer slot, and it's also better cause you can then adjust the mixer volume afterward for like actual mixing. You can also automate a Fruity Limiter volume which actually has no smoothing but that introduces crackling at the rate of your project's timebase. It's also generally a good idea to check the sync of your final mix, PDC is rarely perfect.
