BTW, you did not mention that a knee mortar cannot deploy. Rule 10.3.2 a Also, it is not clear from the rules how to treat knee mortars when setting up a reduced platoon. Say the reduced platoon has 7 steps. How does that work when setting up (either a Japanese platoon or a non Japanese platoon)? Do they get half squads? And if so what about the knee mortar?

Hey brother. For starters you rock. Your concept was genius. And your format is well done. I don't remember when I subscribed but it's been at least 2 years. I've actually started a channel about 7 weeks ago based on 1942 online by beamdog. Cuz honestly What attracted me to your channel was your axis and allies series. One night particularly I had buddies coming over to play 1914 and I had no idea how to play it. And I thought to myself Harsh Rules. The video was actually so long that my buddies came over and they were all like oh you're watching the Harsh Rules excellent. I was just wondering do you ever make videos on unofficial games? For example global '36. Or '39. Doesn't really matter which version. The reason I ask is I would never play these versions cuz they seem like too much of an undertaking. But I'm still curious about them.

Thanks for the kind words! I haven't made any videos on the unofficial games. Some of them look very cool though!

When a Japanese squad suffers a casualty and is flipped does that require a casualty to be reported?

not sure the best way to get ahold of you. But I have a game suggestion for you not that you need any suggestions. But a game I always thought you should do is Tammany Hall. It has a war game feel even though its not really.
