So the organizers will need to determine what rules they want and one is not neccessarily worse than the other. I really like the palm to palm rule here! The sport is still young. So as we get more eyes on it more techniques, more monters, and more standardization will emerge.

Also want to add, I could be dead wrong. But if you look at the list of open top rollers they are usually long levered big hand arm wrestlers. Schoolboy, Devon (when he top rolls), John, engin, I would include travis but he’s more of an inside top roller (stays close to his arm). Perfect example -RVJ massive hands and open top roller. They need the control for it to work.

I'm hoping all of the issues with the livestream are fixed. The refs and the scorekeepers need to be able to communicate. The score was screwed up the entire stream last tournament and there was a lack of communication from the ref to the audience and scorekeepers. Also, make sure they have chalk this time lol. "Intentional slip." That's why those rules are fine. A guaranteed strap is a must, or a ref has a huge capacity to decide the outcome. I'd like for John to win, but I'd rather see the armwrestling win in the long run, than my favorite armwrestler having his favored style right now.

I dont think they will be an intentional slip because whoever wants to go to the strap just wont get a grip in the 30 seconds. I think it is kind of silly to go straight to the strap after 30 seconds. Then say they will call fouls for intentionally slipping. I think it should be a refs grip after the 30 seconds without strap. But i do agree i dont want to see a match determined on fouls

I like the rules about not being able to intentionally slip and get into the strap. Making it a little harder to get to the strap. I cant understand why then do u go straight to the strap at the beginning of the match if after 30 seconds u dont get a grip. Basically u will not have to slip to get to the strap u just have to not get a grip in the 1st 30 seconds. I think it should be a refs grip without straps after the 30 seconds. That would make more sense to me. If someone wants the straps then they dont have to slip. They can get the straps every round. Congrats Larry on the 2 Mil subs. I cant wait for saturday.

The only questionable part IMO is that the strap should only be applied if there's a slip. That would be more fair to the entire aspect of armwrestling and I don't think it would detract the viewers.
