5:32 No, ask people how much they earn. Obviously, this doesn't mean going up to strangers and demanding to know their pay, but things like this being taboo is a big reason pay gaps exist. As in, pay gaps based on discrimination where someone else is at the exact same position as you at the same place but is paid more or less. I think in some places that's actually illegal, but when it comes to privately run companies those laws are hard to enforce since knowing someone else's pay is rare.

For a while in middle school, my teeth were sitting at odd angles, and two of them were pushed forward. Iit wasn't all that noticeable unless people knew about them, or were close to my face. I was fairly insecure about them, so I avoided smiling for a while. It was a few months before I started to feel confident enough to really smile again. One day during after-class free time, everyone was having a bit of fun, all joking around. I was with one of my best friends at the time and started laughing and really smiling. Her face deadpanned suddenly. "Woah! Your teeth look awful! You should get them fixed!" My face just slowly dropped and I made a point to make sure my teeth were well covered. Not a moment later, the bell first bell rang and she left. I just stood there as my eyes filled with tears. The other remaining kids noticed and asked what was wrong. I told them what had happened and they spent the rest of the time making me feel better. That, believe it or not, took a heavy toll on the low confidence I had at the time. I felt as if my teeth were what affected how people saw me, so I avoided smiling for a long time. Please don't point out when people's teeth are "off" or "crooked". They likely already know and are wanting them to look better anyway. I didn't need to get my teeth fixed, btw. They straightened themselves out.

I've started to tell her if she doesn't like waiting for me, to stop coming up with me. She's just making herself more bent out of shape about it by waiting with me. She does the same thing while waiting for me to change after dance period, I tell her to go on without me because she gets really impatient and then she'll just not say anything back like she's mad at me. Idk what to do about it and I feel like our friendship is barely holding on. I feel like she does a lot of stuff, not because she thinks it would be nice to do for me but rather because she thinks that's what friends do, like out of protocol or something. I've never been in this type of relationship, before. She never seems like she wants to be around me and is always talking about how excited she is to talk to one her guy friends that I'm like kinda friends with too. It's getting repetitive being around her everyday at school but idk how to talk to other people and also like get away from her. We have three out of five classes together and I'm kinda just done with it tbh. People always says I have a witch's laughter. It hurts. It's not really something I can just change.

my classmates use to always make fun of my laugh but I never felt bad about it and it just made me laugh more, I don’t really enjoy people making fun of my laugh but I was so happy I was making them laugh too that I didn’t care, plus I knew they didn’t mean it in a bad way so it didn’t matter, they stopped doing it after some time and I legit felt bad because they weren’t happy anymore ✋🙃 they stopped after the teacher said that sometimes even if we think something is a game other people might not see it that way I think sometimes is better to ask for boundaries

I hate it when people are like, “HEY LETS HANG OUT TODAY” and I’m unprepared. like, plan it way before and don’t tell me on the day :/

2:54 I don’t do this but I disagree. It may be awkward but if you don’t want the person to see you walking them just walk faster it doesn’t really matter. Just mind your business though. Why do you care that we call or FaceTime? Sometimes we don’t have a friend to with in person so we call for FaceTime

I am French; when I was 8 months pregnant a shopkeeper asked me if he could kiss the baby, when I said no he reacted by saying that I wasn’t very French!…

I got made fun of for my laugh for like 2 years by a friend of mine who always mocked my laugh and said it sounded like I'm wheezing...I remember I had tried so hard to stop laughing around her..but then I realized I don't need to adjust cuz of her and just started ignoring people saying my laugh is strange and by responding"Its just how I am." Please NEVER make fun of someone's laugh...

My friend and her partner showed up at my house unannounced once😂 I mean that was fun and I’m fine with it if it’s a close friend, but a notice would be appreciated.

My brother erased laughter from my life... We were watching a movie with the whole family, like all relatives together, and everyone was laughing because it was comedie type. My brother was unfortunately next to me and he pointed out loud.... "Why do you laugh like that, you're disturbing" I get it I have a weird windshield wiper laugh, but since that day, I've always been insecure about my laugh and my whole life turned to be tasteless and boring. I make sure not to laugh whenever I can and people are scared of me, saying I'm too serious of a person and that I should smile sometimes. But I can't

there is a boy in my class and whenever i laugh he says ‘what type of laugh is that?’ i try to change my laugh when i’m around him but i realise that i shouldn’t care what he thinks, i can laugh however i want. so next time he says that i’m going to say to him what was on the thumbnail, ‘never make fun of someones laugh. for them to feel self concious about being happy is brutal.’ and tell him to shut up bc i’m so kind

someone made fun of my laugh in late middle school saying that I sounded like a dog. I started having a more subtle laugh were I'll make a Pfft sound and my new friends make fun of me for it and when i laugh loudly they'll make fun of it, too. It's tiring

5:55 my grandma used to do this at our house, so my mom ended up changing the locks. now she tells us when she's on the road on her way over, and 90% of the time when she does this, we aren't home
