I have a Yoder ys640 and a Weber gas grill but I haven’t used either for a longgg time. I strictly use my Big Joe 3 and to speed up cooking I bought a Looft Lighter 2 and I can have a ready fire in under 20 minutes… Love my Joe and another great video! #Kamadojoe #kamadocooking

Yeah all depends what I’m cooking and how much time I have. I use them all, but my gas grill the least. 🍻

Really good suggested menu items. Too hot here to cook, 102 to 108 this week. 115 heat index. We have a cold front coming, only 99 degrees by the weekend. Texas for you. #kamadojoe, #kamadocooking.

I never understood why people raved about kamado grills, but after you combined your channels and I came to this one I started to get interested. I picked one up and have put out some amazing food, and its super easy. #kamadojoe #kamadocooking

Awesome. Can turn out some great food on them. Won’t beat an offset, but a lot less work. 🍻

I have big Joe on order. You said in this video that I probably won’t be able to dial in a 12 hour cook. Just curious why not ? I thought Komados were good for that?
@RumandCook11 күн бұрын
I’m not saying you can’t dial it in with practice, but the KKs do even better. I have 4 years on KJ and 5 or 6 on the KK. They just lock in better that’s all. 🍻

I have the rotisserie and want to do a leg of lamb what temperature should I run it at and cooking times per kilo
@RumandCook8 ай бұрын
I have never cooked a leg of lamb, but I would guess 350ish and 20 mins per pound. I believe Smoking Dad BBQ has one on lamb though. 🍻

have you tried any of the ooni ovens? curious how they compare I have neither.
@RumandCook Жыл бұрын
Yeah I had a Karu 16. They are small and controlling the temps can be a challenge for multiple cooks and longer, lower temp cooks are even more of a challenge. It’s a one trick pony, I’d look at something more versatile. I sold mine. 🍻
@TheWafflesalsa Жыл бұрын
@@RumandCook Good to know, thank you. Do you have thoughts (or maybe a video) on Big Joe 2 vs 3? I have a lot of homedepot gift cards, and they only seem to sell the 2.
@RumandCook Жыл бұрын
You can’t go wrong with either. I like the extra height in a 3, but I owned a 2 for 3 years and they work great. Quality of food is near identical. I’d use them up! 🍻

the Joe is so versitile, the only thing with adding a wet rag to the the pizza stone. make sure the water is warm. the cold water could crack the stone with the temp change. #kamadojoe #kamadocooking

Not really required to be honest, but 350-400 for an hour is good. Will just burn off any foam or oils. You can go right into a cook after that. 🍻
