I thought the steps were the same a the waltz, the box step but different tempo?

The waltz is a bit different! The steps also move in a different direction and are a little different in terms of how you move your body and knees. Overall the general idea is the same but the count for Rumba is slow quick quick. Or quick quick slow. The count for waltz is 123456.
