Man this takes me back. I live in the city now where thunderstorms just get drowned out by manmade sounds until they get really close, but when I was younger I would sit in our countryside backyard hours before a storm would arrive, listening to the distant thunder growing ever louder. I wouldn’t do anything. I’d just sit there, listening, focussing on that low rumble and forgetting all my troubles.

I have very found memories of driving super early in the mornings to school with my best friend, rain just pouring and all of a sudden the loudest Booms would crack over head scaring both of us shitless. We would laugh so hard, having to pull over a few times, because when we weren’t in school and it stormed we were sitting in the garage on law chairs wrapped in blankets with hot coco/coffee in our hands. These were our therapy sessions with each other ❤️

I was at my friends he lived far from my city and at his place there was a opening between two trees we sat there watching the storm going over the forest and it was at 8:30 so at night and we would count between each lighting flash and also a red spirit too which are amazing !

Begin to get help, don't become home bound. If possible, move to a very small town, they are not as frightening as large loud cities. Eventually, you may enjoy walking around the small square of a little town. Friendly smiling faces that nod to you and go on their way. Sometimes the stress of an environment can increase your problems. I don't like large cities, they are like a stirred up ant hill, to be avoided. Self-help videos, books and online discussions are a beginning, eventually getting assistance from a family member or friend to venture into your own space, porch, patio, balcony to train and teach yourself that you can eventually return to having a life free from fears and being housebound. Baby steps and information can return you to a happier life. Good luck, you can make a lot of progress once you start and are honest with your self. Great thunder sounds, sounds like where I lived in the mountains, it would thunder so strong it would shake the house and rattle the window pane, it was awesome to hear, and then the rain on a tin roof, that rhythm would just knock you out,

Because of this ambience, I basically went into a trance and wrote multiple pages of something I'm working on as a hobby like I would back when I was in high school ten years ago. In a world that is so crazy and chaotic it's nice to be able to zone out to the loud overwhelming sounds of confusion and negativity.. And then to be able to tap in and listen to the wonderful ancient sounds of nature , peace & tranquility. I love listening to n watching thunderstorms. The only problem is, as soon as it starts to get windy n the lightening gets more frequent, I also get extremely nervous. Is it weird, that i feel like I can tell the difference between a summer thunderstormor an autumn one? I love the ones in summer more because they seem more ‚warm‘ and ‚smoother‘ and have more depth. this one is a stunning one i would concider a summer storm :)
