I'm pretty sure the shield token was played wrong. The shield token prevents the *movement of the card,* it does *not* affect the *action of the card* In this instance, the troublemaker *could* move 2 other players cards. Other players, such as the Witch or Mystic Wolf *could not* move/view the card. Or I'm wrong, which could also be it.

Nope, you're totally right! We played the sentinel token wrong for a LONG time, thinking it meant "no powers to OR FROM this card", when it really meant "no powers to this card". Thanks for watching!

In the first game, it doesn't really make sense to change the dream wolf into a regular wolf. He already knows there are 3 wolves, he could just for sure make someone else a wolf to have a majority wolf team (4vs2). It also gives the potential PI an even higher chance of becoming a werewolf. Though I guess if you're just gonna come out and say that you're the Alpha wolf, then I guess it doesn't matter too much and just lie about if you made someone a werewolf.

Really what needed to happen in that second game was that the Village Idiot needed to obfuscate stupidity. She needed to not say that she switched the cards around and claim something else so that the wolf majority ended up voting for a wolf.

One of the few things I wish was different about ONUW is that there was more incentive to sometimes _not_ do your night action! I guess our group is just not advanced enough for that level of strategy :)

Oh, no, she definitely needed to do that action. Because the wolf majority was a very real possibility and she needed to avoid telling anyone about it so they could end up accidentally voting for a wolf.

I think u played wrong rules in daybreak, the maximum number of wolf team is 3 cards, not 4 cards.

Hm, I don't think there's any rule about how many wolves can be in the pool of possible cards; I think it wouldn't be against the rules to play a (very boring) game of all wolves! But, here's a way to get four wolves with just daybreak roles that could still be interesting, especially in a larger group: Alpha wolf, mystic wolf, dream wolf are all players. During the night, the alpha wolf turns someone else into a wolf. That's four wolves!

Me and my friends have this rule where your "team" is what you last saw your own card as. so if you last saw your own card as a mason, you're on the villager's team even if you think you've been changed into a werewolf. So if you're convinced you've been turned into a werewolf without looking at your card to see, you could ask the other villagers to kill you to make the villagers win

Interesting house rule! Seems like it would change a lot about how the werewolves need to play --- and it makes the Alpha Wolf really bad! How does it work with the Robber, Insomniac, Witch, or Paranormal Investigator? I would guess the Robber, Insomniac, and Witch are OK because they see their "new" card before the night is over, so they work like they normally do (and would be on their new team). But the P.I. doesn't see their own card again, they just get changed based on what they see...

Rum & Board The P.I just becomes a werewolf on the werewolf team I like it this way because that means a minion who was switched still is on the werewolf team. And if he finds out who he was switched with, he can try to make the villagers kill the new minion to make the werewolves win.

+To Die For Games We've found that this game can be a little intimidating for new players because you have to lie and bluff like crazy and that's not everyone's style! Maybe if that's the issue, have them watch a play through so they can get a sense of how light-hearted and quick this game can actually be? And drinks are a great edition, though it can make things more confusing ;)

Hmmm... I don't think so! In the first and second games, I believe it's the same worst-wolf-scenario: alpha wolf turns somebody, P.I. sees a wolf, plus two other wolves. That would be 5 wolves out of 6, but not everybody! I guess it would depend on what the three in the middle were, which I don't remember! In the third, definitely not :)

I believe the middle three were the Bodyguard, the Witch, and the Curator, given they were talked about a lot during the disscussion.. Here's a hypothetical situation if the black shirt Jordan was the Curator and if Haak did use his night action to create a werewolf. Haak and Robin wake up and see that each other and Sarah are werewolves. That's 3 werewolves. Haak then turns the black shirt Jordan into a werewolf, so that's 4. Meryl then looks at Robin's card and turns into a werewolf, which makes five. Then the black shirt Jordan gives the blue shirt Jordan the Claw of the Werewolf (by chance), which makes 6 werewolves. Robin and the blue shirt Jordan's actions have no input on creating werewolves. So there technically could have been an all werewolf round night 1. The other two nights, probably not.

Yeah, turning another player into a werewolf is bad because they don't know anyone on the team, and only the Alpha Wolf knows them, so they are basically useless.

Yeah, we were playing with messed up the sentinel rules for a long time! We know better now, but it was after these videos were uploaded :( As far as voting for yourself, I'm pretty sure the rules are that you have to point at "another player" when you're voting, and to my group that means you gotta vote for somebody else.
