I love that you love the old songs - I mean, there are still many of us that lived during that era and are very proud of that time. I grew up where music was lovely, classic, classy, touching, fine melodies, clean, fed the hearts of many magically and instantly ...... the list goes on. What we had was going to dances with "live" bands, lots of horns, instruments and singers that played various variety of music - compared to today it's not so much AND if has dancing it's like you kan't move because it's OVER CROWDED, what a shame, it's about packing a venue so tight that you could hardly move to dance ( it's a money making business) world.

It's very hard for anyone to sing this song after Dionne did it in 64 without it sounding like a pastiche, as her version was just unbeatable. Gabrielle managed it though with her version, as well as D Train, but this is truly sublime. Rumer sounds like Karen Carpenter, Dusty and Bobbi Gentry all rolled into one. THAT VOICE with the tempo, strings, and production make this truly exceptional and bloody marvellous!

Fighter91 It’s a Burt Bacharach classic from that era. The Carpenters covered it, along with Dionne Warwick. I see Rumer has done a few Burt Bacharach songs. Her voice was made for them!
