Love is not just a pleasant feeling. Love hurts. It even kills you. Rumi surrendered to it because it is the bond, the understanding. Love is not just the feeling you experience, it's also what triggers that feeling. Love is how things manifest. Truth. He is in love with the universe because he understands the totality of it. "Dance, when you're broken open. Dance, if you've torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance, when you're perfectly free."

I don't think you understood what 777aq wrote. Lets say that you and only you knows what is the meaning of guru. Now with your definition do you disagree with: ""Many Gurus are said to dwell in the Realm of Mind" ? Now if you disagree tell me your definition of Guru. Then I will respond. Then you will respond back that many well known Gurus are not real grurus, and we will conclude that: "Many Gurus are in fact fake Gurus let alone having a connection between their mind and heart" है ठीक?

The simple meaning of what Rumi said is oneness , unity .where entire humankind is seen as one no matter what religion, color , ethnicity they have because its always been a devil's formula to divide and rule. So what rumi trying to say is we all are same spiritual beings who are living different lives. But the only way to peace is accept each other's existence without judging. You see when we talk about spirituality or spiritual cleaning. We have to clear our heart from hate first than comes others like ego, envy etc...and after doing it we attain inner peace. So for outer peace the same formula has to be applied.

Apparently there's been a misunderstanding about what Rumi meant. It goes without saying that there are some concepts as we assume 'wrong or right' when you're observing the world through secular or worldly lenses and when you're understanding the world by your mind, and there's nothing wrong about that for sure(as these concepts are needed in their contexts), but the point is when you perceive the true concept beyond the external world, you(or your understanding) just go(goes) beyond such words as described 'right or wrong', and that's where you possibly find out there's a superior intelligence which is living through us, 'The True Essence'. As a result, having this comprehension, you can't find things as 'wrong' or 'right', there's just one 'truth', you and the whole universe are unique and this uniqueness is the true essence , and you can just reach that state or comprehension by the true love which is the consequence of understanding the universe and living by seeing all the elements of the essence and then you can feel that you and the whole universe are the act of the essence. So just confide in the true essence, find the true love, live your life with joy, and that's it, there's nothing to worry about. That's the gist of Rumi's words. And I guess we shouldn't forget to remember that we can't understand Rumi's words by our mind, we have to listen to that by our Heart.

He's not undermining Rumi in any way.... he's actually talking about common people who try to follow the rumi's path and what paradoxes and misapprehensions they can go through..... @@lovingrumi Vinod Ji U are so right With all the respect I have for Sadguru, he is being racist about Rumi or his way and also he is being persuasive to mislead others here and it seems he has a bit of envy and ego hear against some ., he says ' rumi every now and then he went up and U can U in his writings .. which means usually Rumi was on the ground which is his work or life was not an enlightened way fully but yogi people every now and then come down' First he just made yogi to be better than love on his own measure of assumption hahaha how dumb! But also in this very lecture he says U must look beyond right and wrong but in the same lecture Sadu, makes yogi seem like it is more right and better enlightenment, and he did not just say that he also says love is the easy ways which another contridiction when he says 'love is sweet but sometimes U get lost in the middle without reaching' Which means fear of loss, and at the same time he says yogi is the consequences of all different practices which means people yogi are already enlightened ... So this is his second mistake but in his case it is intentional from Sadu, out if fear of loosing his followers others to other forms spirituality , Or Hindu Muslim thing , Or what Eva it may be, Question is Mr Sadu show the world Ur works and let others judge who's work is truely spiritual ? Rumi is being even thought in Buddhist temples and yogi classes.. Secondly there is no difference between budha and Rumi they are the same mirror from different angles, Third how can u be judgemental to the very person whom allot of Ur stuff comes from? Fourth if U write a book or few U will know Ur writings are earthly but rumi's writing is above human standard of normal writings... But the worst part of Ur speech was when U said beyond wrong and right from rumi's book and yet make comparisons lol a serious issue in Ur whole talk.. I am student of Rumi and budha and I can tell U there is serious wrong stuff in this speech...

But you cannot perceive me through yourself, It is through my eyes that you see me and see yourself, Through your eyes you cannot see me. Dearly beloved! I have called you so often and you have not heard me I have shown myself to you so often and you have not seen me. I have made myself fragrance so often, and you have not smelled me. Rumi is the great famous Sufi Saint, he is so grand, his expression of love is so rich and intense, if any intellectual or intelligent person reads it, he will understand that Rumi's level of love is something no one can comment on unless they have reached that level themselves. He annihilated himself in his Lord and in doing so he lost his own identity. His quotation and poetry's has been translated in many languages by many educated professors worldwide, he is well known internationally. Sadguru takes only 1 quotation out of millions and decides he was in that state only once in a way. How could Sadhguru comment on Rumi's state? I have lost all respect for Sadhguru, his comments were demeaning and no Saints will ever demean such a great Saint. Yogis don't have quarter of the power a Saint has. Sadguru should study Rumi 's work more extensively before making juvenile comments on Rumi's station.

He is not misunderstanding Rumi. Rather you are misunderstanding Jagi Vasudev . Love is the Bhakti yoga. It's the sweetest way to reach God and without emotions there are no other way. But bhakti must evolve to Gyan yoga. Without it the destination cannot be reached. Both bhakti and gyan yog are needed to reach there. We also had Chaitanya, meerabai, Jagannath Das, Tulsi Das, Kabir, Nanak, Sur Das, Ravi Das, Ramkrishna, Ramprasad sen,. So many. I am reading Rumi and there are no doubt that he got enlightenment. Bhakti do lead to mukti eventually but many do not reach destination by getting intoxicated with love or bhakti..They do not want to... 😊

SADHGURU MISREADS RUMI Here Sadhguru lifted himself to the realm of hidden truths about himself: he has not read the true Rumi. As a seeker, he still has a long way to go to catch up with the depth of Rumi's universe. That realm speaks to love as much as it does to tragedy. In essence, it embraced the universal spirit; the cosmic presence; the eternal absence; life as life, life as lived, and life as spirit. Rumi embraced all, from sentient specs to eternal consciousness. To reduce and constrict the realm of Rumi's verses, as Sadhguru did, is to self-immolate one's understanding. Sadhguru is wise. He knows better than he revealed about Rumi. He knew that Rumi immersed his gaze on love, but never lost sight of pain and grief. Rumi's wisdom embraced the full spectrum of being human, being beings, and being mortal in an immortal universe. The beauty in all this is that Rumi never claimed knowledge. He merely ventilated, for all time. Sadhguru, the wise, can learn from this. There is enough room in the universe to accommodate lifelong learning. Let's learn from the world, and not belittle insights beyond our understanding.

He is talking about realm beyond human limitation and boundlessness. Love is an emotion. Love is just another human limitation. First time i ever hearing about something beyond love which is something i was alwayz looking for. In super conscious evolution it is never about the same old things and experiences...I love Rumi's teachings...i was a sufi follower for very long though by birth im Hindu. I used to fast during Ramadhan to feel and experience the holy month. I watched this video almost 10 times to understand every bit of the message he is trying to convey. Sadhguru is beyond all religion and one needs to be in his presence to know what he is talking is nothing close to what you will experience in his presence. Love is something you are...it is a state to transport us to make the quantum leap. He is typically talking about the natures way of engineering. The pattern or code you have to break to reach to the next stage. Just because it gives you pleasure you cant get stuck there... You have to go beyond prejudice to understand THE message.

Thank you for your thoughts. Love as a general understanding, maybe is a way that takes you some times, not often , to discinnection from the ego and going beyond good & bad definition. But Love as what Rumi experienced, infinite, unconditional love beyond everything, is a rare experience that cant be described with words and mind...only can be felt with judgmental free heart. And once we go beyond conceptualization and become one with the source, we stay there... yoga is a way of getting there every now and then :) Blessings & love to you all

Everyone who has reached the realm of spirituality, he is no longer belong to any religion; Jesus gave distinction between religion and spirituality in this way: "It's just like in field of astronomy, spirituality is the totality of the universe, while religions are parts of the universe that have their own names and systems.

The metaphor would be: when you are driving on material roads you have to observe all the driving rules, rights and wrongs, to be safe and get to your temporary destination. But someone like Rumi realized he had hidden wings by which he could fly high above the material roads and get to a more permanent destination without observing earthly rights and wrongs. Do we all have those hidden wings?

Owais I agree with U With all the respect I have for Sadguru, he is being racist about Rumi or his way and also he is being persuasive to mislead others here and it seems he has a bit of envy and ego hear against some ., he says ' rumi every now and then he went up and U can U in his writings .. which means usually Rumi was on the ground which is his work or life was not an enlightened way fully but yogi people every now and then come down' First he just made yogi to be better than love on his own measure of assumption hahaha how dumb!

For this god of creation+all that is living is the miracle that beholds all that is born in love.

Extract from Fi Hi Ma Fi By Maulana Jalauddin Rumi, presenting some perspective on Rumi as a Muslim: For, first, all gifts are showered on him, then they are distributed from him to others. Such is the rule. God said, “O Prophet, We have scattered all gifts upon thee.” Said Mohammed, “And upon God’s righteous servants!” The way to God is exceedingly fearful and blocked deep by snow. Mohammed risked his life, driving his horse through and opening up the road. Whoever goes on this road, does so by his guidance and guarding. He discovered the road in the first place, and set up waymarks everywhere, posting signs that say, “Do not go in this direction, and do not go that way. If you go that way you will perish, even as the people of ‘Ad and Thamud, but if you go in this direction you will be saved, like the believers. All of the Koran expounds this, for “therein are clear signs”-in other words, upon this road We have given way- marks. If anyone tries to destroy any of these signs, everyone will attack them, saying, “Why do you destroy the road for us? Why do you work toward our destruction? Are you a highway robber?” Know that Mohammed is the guide. God says, “Until you first come to Mohammed you cannot reach Me.”

Sadhguru doesn’t understand Rumi, Sadhguru talks about rightband wrongs! Rumi says there’s no right or wrong! Rumi goes so above and beyond that he reaches one! Rumi talks about pain! In his poems he mentioned a few times the one who understands my codes! So not everyone understands Rumi! That includes Sadhguru l! For the guru it’s just good to understand only the love that Rumi describes! Rumi is therefore above Sadhguru and his explanations and understandings which are pretty chilled out 👍

Great beings like Jesus, Ghandi, the Buddha, all use the inner knowing and the spiritual truth to arrange their understanding of the 3 dimensional world into levels of truth. The higher truth versus the base truth used in law. With wisdom, one can judge the world appropriately to bring about the course of circumstances and arrangements which is of the most benefit and potential to allowing love and the higher truth to prosper in the lower realms of right and wrong. The whole purpose of divine wisdom and beings being on earth is to shine the light and guide those stuck in the darkness of duality into a course from which they too may find hope, love and the healing of the path of light. They free them from the darkness of the inner mind and limitations of thinking that restrict the flow of higher counciousness, oneness and love. God bless you guru... You help so many

Rumi is an ocean, but those that dont have the perception required, all they will see is a puddle, and a puddle compared to an ocean is too shallow, it is within these shallows that sadghuru has made the error of judging rumi.

I was drawn to Sadhguru as I normally get drawn - because I'm searching for enlightenment: Rumi has been quotes by every writer in the realm of spirituality (not religion) , self-realization and the willingness to expand into our soul's journey. One I like "Is God speaking, why not be quiet and listen". I may not have the quote perfectly but in it I take it to be "respectful and be in tuned". If we pray or ask God for help why not show him he respect that is needed in order to hear the answer? Love has many faces and tones: our opinion on the subject is our own and not necessarily anyone else's. Again, respect is required to be aware that not one interpretation is better than other.
@SiyavoshM
@SiyavoshM 3 жыл бұрын
I'm more inclined to think that it's not only good to give opinions, but it is necessary to ask questions and to be skeptical in a civil manner. Greed or fear though should not be the cause of our actions or inactions. Had he not given his opinion you would not have given your opinion making the rest of us happy with your journey. Sadhgru is certainly talking to his base of followers. They do need to know the basic difference between right and wrong. Pardon my crude example: Farting in public is wrong. (i'm not being facetious, I been there, crowded and no washrooms) Now another possibility is greed. To gather more followers or to attract Rumi's folowers with a bait and click. KZbin pays well ... The last possibility that my limited mind can think of is that Sadhguru honestly and truely doesnt have a clue in which case, people he has assigned to read these comments, may do so, and help Sadhguru grow. The worst situation is to turn a blind eye when something seems to be wrong and we turn a blind eye hence Rumi's poem that invites us to have a dialogue on youtube where we can reconsider our notion of this being wrong. We may well be. I hope Sadhgru comes through without removing this video

I love how Sadghuru transmits his message in a simplistic way that he reaches to a broader audience. But sometimes it becomes too simplistic that it sounds shallow. I dont judge him for not understanding Rumi's teaching about "love" since the teachings in Sufi culture find the students when they are humble enough to learn. And for a person who claims that he is not reading books (you can watch his video with Chopra) not to blur his visión it is easy to get overindulged in his own ideas instead of opening himself to universal truths. I simply recommend him try reading Rumi just for once. Then he may understand his mistake.

He doesn't understand the Sufi path. Along the way one goes through the pain of longing and separation being in the desert when one is touched by the creator and then the creator turns his face away. On the path to fana one goes through many painful unpleasant periods. Rumi starts a poem with "Listen to the reed how it tells a tale complaining of separations and ends with "Everyone who is left far from his source wishes back the time when he is united with it" The Sufi saying "keep away from lane of love" Rumi says this path is not for "brittle , easily broken, glass bottle people" "the soul is tested by sheer terror as a sieve and separated genuine from fake" He clearly does know Rumi or the path of the Sufi.
