Meirin is the way Meiling would be written in Japanese kana, anyway. So it is equally valid. Japanese per se does not have “L” sound (it is approximated to “R”), nor final “NG” (gets phonetically converted to syllabic “N”).

Yea. Hòng Méi Ling (dont have the correct notations on ling on my keyboard) is in chinese. I forgot what each of the words mean in chinese (since its been a long long time since i last spoke chinese mandarin that i basically forgot) but Hòng means red.

jenson gunawan I’m pretty sure it’s 红美铃 with 红 meaning red, 美 meaning beautiful and 铃 meaning bell while 美铃 itself is just a common(?) female Chinese name that I don’t know the meaning of. I know that my name(which I won’t say because privacy I guess) is a play on words on a saying about honesty and you should from that guess why my parents gave me a name like that.

Meiling's boss theme is really, really underrated and under-appreciated compared to her stage theme. I mean, every single arrangement of Meiling theme I've listened to tends to be Shanghai Teahouse ~ Chinese Tea and not Shanghai Alice of Meiji 17. Because of that, I thank you for this video.
