Ive got them all working together with my FTDX10 BUT if I want to shut down WSJT-X and do SSB I can't get RUMLOG to use the USB cable to sync the frequencies with my FTDX10. Any idea what Im doing wrong?

I watch all the different combos you use to log , Is there a master log that you use ?

Hello and thank you for commenting and thank you for subscribing to my channel. I import my logs into one main log. Currently that main log is in Log4OM. I was hoping to eventually have everything in a online log. Probably Clublog. Thanks again and best holiday wishes to you and yours 73 and good DX!

Hello and thank you for commenting and thank you for subscribing to my channel. I am using the USB cable (printer cable) between my MBP and the IC-7300. I do have a CI-V cable too, but haven’t been using it recently. Thanks again and very best holiday wishes to you and yours. 73 and good DX!

Only enable cat control in WSJT-X, not in Grdtracker. Having 2 programs trying to control your rig is not good. Also uncheck Exchange CAT data in RUMlogNG, also set Dat Port to 2237 the same port you have defined in WSJT-X for UDP. At least that is the way I set it all up with my Kenwood TS-590SG and it all works great. I can also enable Auto in the Network setting and it will initiate transmit to start when a CQ pops up in the Receive band window.

hello, what program do you recommend to synchronize the clock of my mac to work FT8?
@HamRadioAdventures Жыл бұрын
That's a great question, I haven't had to sync my computer clock on the Mac until just the other day. So I started looking for a program to do just that. Here is one I am trying whatroute.net/chronycontrol.html#download

Before you can run any of this software, Don't you need to install a driver first? That's where I'm stuck. I'm not seeing the USB to UART driver. I've installed the silicon labs driver but it still doesn't show up. Frustrating.
@HamRadioAdventures10 ай бұрын
It’s nice to hear from you and thank you for commenting. Yep that’s right I would just verify that you have the correct driver from silicon labs. Could it be the cable you’re using?

@@HamRadioAdventures turns out it was the cable I was using AND the port on the radio I was using!! RUMlogNG has a port selection labeled "CAT: port select" and so I thought I should be using the GPS/CAT port on my Yeasu FT-991A! I feel justified in my confusion. Anyway, I had installed the driver but was using the wrong port/cable. Now that I've got that straightened out I'm cooking with USB. Great videos man. One comment is that I think if you're going to review RUMlogNG et al you should also discuss and advise on the drivers, interfaces and cables. Or maybe you mentioned it in another video and I missed it. Cheers!
