I like that theory. Nintendo did the same thing with Wii Remotes on the Wii U, so I could see that happening.

Here is news I heard from two weeks ago. I was talking to a switch dealer and just flat out asked him when are they releasing Switch two. He said what he's heard so far from inside sources is they are expecting an announcement of Switch two in October this year with switch units available for purchase around April to June of 2025. He also said that's what he has most recently heard and things could change down the line. When I asked him about other switch title releases he was very accurate with that information as well.

What boggles my mind is, they announced this Joycon charger around the same time that Nintendo World Championships NES Edition was released this week. But it could just be because there's enough room on this new Joycon charger to place the Nintendo NES controllers (or Nintendo Famicom controllers) to charge as well and this the perfect time to reveal this new accessory.

Given how Nintendo has stated they intend to continue using Nintendo Accounts and Nintendo Switch Online features on their next system, it would not surprise me that Joy-Cons can be used as controller options alongside their new controllers. As such, having an official first-party charging dock makes sense.

If they are using Joy Con for the "Super Switch" I hope the next controller is compatible with the OG Switch. Since people say Joy-Cons have Drift we will be running out of Joy-Cons pretty soon.

Thanks for the cool content as always! I do have my doubts, however, when it comes to the magnetic tech it supposedly has. I would think that it could possibly be a pinching hazard especially towards kids? In any case, I'm holding out on buying a Switch OLED for the Switch 2!
