RUMOR: Simpsons Hit & Run Remaster in the Works?

Emphasis on "RUMOR"! Take with a grain of salt, but can it be possible that the Simpsons Hit and Run Can be remastered soon?

That level wasn't unfinished. They just decided for it to be a linear experience since it was just a repurposed level 1, they had no plans to do the other half of the level. Morgan Kuno asked Jeffrey Pidsasny (one of the developers for SHAR) about it: Q:What happened to the old Level 7 with the other side of the map intact? A: Level 7 was a repurposed Level 1. Rather than a loop we wanted a linear experience from the PP to the School, hence the bridge being out at the doors to the PP closed. The other side was never considered or designed. Q:There are still draw/audio triggers over there. A:Sloppy audio design work and nobody updated the audio designer. There was never intention for a map there.

Yes, and maybe like some new locations from the show like Paris or New York but only locations that have had full episodes there.

Depends really. If they Remaster/remake it. They'll have to use the story and narrative from the original. I think more levels and characters should be added and a complete finish in the finale level (level 7 is incomplete). Activision have the means to remaster it. They did with Spyro... who's to say they won't with Hit and Run (if you don't know, Activision own Radical Entertainment and they own the rights to the game instead of Fox/Disney).

@@abandonedchannel120 only info I can find regarding the matter is that EA owns Exclusive rights to *The Simpsons Game*. I presume Radical Entertainment owns the licenses for *The Simpsons Hit and Run* which is now owned by Activision back in 2013/14 and Activision did good on remaking the Spyro collection.

I hope it's true, I would love to see The Simpsons Hit And Run Remastered on the Switch, PS4, Xbox one And the next gen consoles. It's a slight chance it will happen, But in case some on you didn't know Activision shut down Radical entertainment years ago. So I don't know who will remake it, Probably E.A. I honestly don't know.

New maps, the map design in this game is horrible. Plus there's some crap locations for some of the landmarks.

@@TomiMancini It's just cramped, and they all loop around with a huge wasted space in the middle where more stuff could have gone. I think if they tried to come up with a tighter story, it might have called for other places to go and maybe then some better map planning. Not the worst maps sure, but they already did a better job with Virtual Springfield, the map made sense, felt like an actual little town with logically planned out landmarks. More of that type of map design would have been nice, but all they did was put you on a race circuit.

8 months later and about 90% of those games have been announced expect for sleeping dogs 2 and simpsons, it’s seems it’s a very high possibility now cause the only 2 games that haven’t been announced were coming in 2022 if lucky and in early works. And it’s a early in the year so we just never know yet!

Hey this question is for the video poster TheAverageJonny. Since you didn't have an email address available here for me to ask you this question. I just saw your older video on how to redeem your DLC and other content for WWE2K18. I just purchased a PS4 and i was wondering is the content still available for download...? I went to the PlayStation store and it still lists everything available for purchase. However, i noticed under that video you made here on KZbin some folks said some of the content wasn't working for them even after they purchased and downloaded it. So i was wondering if you knew or anyone else for that matter. Since this is an older game and what i really wanted was Smackdown vs Raw 2009 because it had Earthquake, Vader, and Doink in the DLC pack. But unfortunately it seems PlayStation isn't interested in continuing to make money off older games and took away the availability of purchasing that content on they PlayStation store. I know that game was for PS3 and was STRONGLY considering getting it before i found this out. Which is why i'm now interested in 2k18 even though SVR2009 is a MUCH better game from what i'm told. Instead of it being a remaster they should make a reMAKE of the game. They should add the cut content they cut from the original and put it in like whats been happening to Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom Re hydrated. Including cut music, cars, and cut parts of the map. They should remake it on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

TheAverageJonny : This is a rumour, don't get too hyped Me : OH MY GOD I'M SOO HYPED THIS IS 100% HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't be surprised if there is a remaster coming though. There is a pretty big community for this game. There's the Donut Mod team, there's the decent sized speedrunning community. And I think there's a lot of people who just remember really liking this game from their childhood. It makes sense to remaster/remake it. I'm sure a lot of people would buy a remaster. Plus I'm sure there's loads of people who never played it who would play it today

Hey there, hope you're doing great. And yes, the Mod Launcher is free as long as you have the base game, you'll access to mods. When downloading mods, simply extract any folders and drag any .lmlm files to the mods directory of the Mod Launcher Folder. The mods should then appear.

I think a remaster would be pointless. The game is basically a cartoon Driver 2, it is lacklustre in the missions and you don't really do anything.... Plus the map design is terrible, it is awkward and clunky. I think a total ground up remake would be the better option, but that is more work and money. They could keep the same plot, but make the missions more interesting instead of being basically just bumper cars, they can add new ones to compliment the plot. A whole new map too, with landmarks in more appropriate locations and just better street design overall. They can keep it level design, getting a bit of open world fatigue. Not against open worlds entirely but I don't want a piddly tiny Springfield, many open worlds have laughably small maps. I think the game really needs a remake over a remaster....no-ones gonna care about some textures anymore. The original game had an idea, but I think it fell short of what it could have been, I never felt like I was doing anything in it...even when I 100%ed it.

Holy shit this was my childhood I ran through this game like 5 times and I always went 99.5% never found the last bee OMG
