I took a break from the epic train locker to hit a live auction about an hour from our house. The auctioneer's website posted that this particular unit belonged to a deceased owner, and there was rumors of a coin collection to have been left behind. I was shocked when you threw out the architecture drawings, even though you saw no value in them, I’m sure a student would have loved them. I think he packed his collections in last because he would’ve kept them separate to his furniture so they were near the door. I hope you find the coin collection because you’ve spent such a lot of money on this unit. Good luck with it.

I suspect the 'coin collection' rumor was started so they could get a better price for that locker. Yeah , the train locker gets a little old at times, but it's better than watching you spend 8 grand on a nearly nothing locker, as far as I'm concerned.

Speaking as a former coin collector, I'd never store coins in a rented locker, though I know some do. My stuff was always either in a safe room at home, or in a safe deposit box at the bank - both seem to me to be easier to get to for active collectors, and safer (but SDBs can be iffy, as money isn't insured of course).

I remember when you would have gotten cold feet on a locker for $80 bucks! You've come a long way since then! Those plant pots are for Bonsai trees and sell for decent money. Glad to see you and the family doing so well!! Enjoy the upcoming holiday season! I live in England and when my son was younger 9 years old I brought him x 10 star wars space ships vintage things & figures for £70.00 English money, I got them valued and was told that they were worth over £300 ,he is now 19years old & still has them up in the attic, he won't sell them.

Jack, check the manufacturer of that metal dresser. There are a couple that are mid century and earlier that are very desirable as in $400-$2000. I have sold vintage and antiques for 20+ yrs. I have sold several over the years. The cabinet you were calling an "art cabinet" is actually a Vintage Map Cabinet and can go for several thousand depending on age, condition and manufacturer. I have sold several. I am located outside of Denver. The dresser and cabinet are very desirable right now. Feel free to message me, we have had customers that are dealers in your area.

Oh dude! You may know by now but you pulled two rare blue Snaggletooths in your Star Wars box. The blue Snaggletooth is an error issue. It was a send in via Sears, they rushed it and made a full figure blue character for a short red character. Kenner pulled the blue one and replaced it with the corrected and youve got two of the error! There is a variant, a distinction in the toes on the boot. indent or not. Congrats.

The tube-like drums appear to be Tama Octobans. They can be worth a lot of money, up to $200 each. There's new sets, usually a set of 4 on a stand, that will cost around $1000. Vintage 1980s ones, in good shape might be worth more. If the previous owner spend money on a small set like that, I'm willing to bet that the drumset will be worth some good money as well. Hope we will get to see what it looks like. :-)

Well you have found a few money items. 💰 Hopefully you qill find more. The landscaping books may have some value, but 20 bucks...even 5 or 10 bucks is profit, and books are super easy to mail. I know it has to be a big let down for this to more or less be a normal unit, but it ain't over till the locker is empty, and a tax write off will truly benefit you this year!! Just remember they all cant be big winners. Hang in there Jack it'll work out alright even if there isn't a coin collection inside.
