Seriously. Like I suppose the idea was to introduce the dilemma of having to kill Regina to take out the Evil Queen, but given how many times they resurrect the main cast they could likely have resurrected Hyde (and seriously, the series could absolutely use a villain who wasn't one of the main cast or just constantly chasing magic).

His character continually disappoints everyone, I really just wish he would die a glorious honorable death sacrificing himself for Belle or the town and be done with it. They introduced him as one of the villain of this season, they did as if he had great plans for the untold stories, and they killed him in episode 4? I feel like this rendition of Dr Jekyll is more true to the original story. In the original story Mr Hyde wasn't some alter ego that was the result of a freak accident, instead Jekyll always had evil desires but needed a vessel to Hyde in (I'm not sorry). Mr Hyde was just a version of Jekyll that was more immature and had no constraints, he was just a disguise. While that isn't exactly true here, we still see that both personalities are evil to a certain degree.

Probably something along the lines of forcing Rumple to kill Belle with his own hands, so Rumple can truly know what it feels like, since that is technically what Jekyll/Hyde also did. He killed Mary with his own hands, but that would have never happened if Rumple hadn't interfered with his experiments.

Had thr serum worked without Rumple's help, Mary would still have died the exact same way. Rumple isn't really responsible with their drama.

Honestly I thought they would have kept Jekyll and Hype towards the Winter Finale at least. IMO though, after watching this I did some thinking about how the characters could've both died. I thought Hyde could've stayed the evil one, only because he was one of my favorite villains in OUAT. Towards the Winter Finale Jekyll could've been the tragic hero who sacrifices himself to save Storybrooke from Mr. Hyde

The reason Jekyll wanted to kill Belle was to make Rumplestiltskin pay for what Jekyll thinks is his fault, the death of Jekylls love. He believes its Rumples fault because Rumple "made" him take the potion which in the end ended up in the death of Mary. Hope that cleared it up.

I believe the serum doesn't split the evil and the good side, but the animalistic, the part of yourselve that only thinks about the desires and not about the consequences. We don't think a lion is evil because he eats an Antilope. In Reginas case it separated her into herself and the evil queen, because she had to become the evil queen to fulfill her desires.

They really screwed up taking Hyde off the show. This show needs to scratch every season other than the first one, get a bigger budget and rewrite, do these actors and actresses right and give them the ratings they deserve because I haven't seen an actor or actress yet that has disappointed me in this show. Just lazy writing and rushed cgi. P.S. Keep Hydes story which has been the most intriguing so far but expand it and don't effing kill him! Take Jekyls heart and split it between the two and kill Jekyl!
