Challenge: Run 5K everyday for a month. I hate running, and running hates me. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone with exercise and running 5K for 30 days seemed like a challenge to match.
So why 5K? I wanted to keep it short, under half an hour so my body could deal with the impact of trying to run 5K everyday for a month. I set myself a target of doing it in under 25 minutes. A reasonable goal I thought but it was a lot harder than I thought. Running 5K does take a toll on your body and I found issues with injuries.
Running 5K for 30 days is a challenge I thought would be easy but was actually really hard. When I told my friends I was going to run 5k everyday for a month they thought I was mad.
