The Run and Shoot Choice concept is the 'THEN' to the Run and Shoot Go Concept's 'IF'.
What I mean by that is if the defense rotates to the three receiver side to stop the Run and Shoot Go concept THEN you need to run the Run and Shoot Choice concept.
So in today's video I talk about the Run and Shoot Choice Concept and how to run it against a standard Cover 3.

The Shoot shreds that defense (Saban's) to bits. BUT, It all comes down to the Jimmy's and the Joe's, can the execute what we have planned against the opposing team. Choice Special is another good one. #Choice

Agreed people don't realize Saban always looked to hire Jimbo Fisher bc his offense is freakishly loaded with options and option routes. It was essentially a pro style run and shoot offense. And they used to murder Saban at practices which is why I don't get why ppl refuse to bring back the Run and Shoot esp after what Briles did at Baylor you'd think ppl would utilize it more

@@happyman42 Briles offense COULD have scored over 100 points in a game more than a few times IF he desired to do so. I remember when that sucker was Humming at the top. Veer and Shoot for sure. Briles more than deserves a second chance. you cannot hold a players hand 24'7. The MUST learn to be self accountable of their actions.

@@erickilpatrick5265 I want to say I agree, he did a lot of good things, his personal story is very inspiring, and I will never forget that Briles gave a lot of people of color a chance to coach, and of course his offense was brilliant. However there is a reason he dropped his lawsuit against Baylor shortly after records of his text messages leaked, he comes off as pretty Machiavellian in them. Hey guys for the most part, the Shoot is employed in nearly every offensive system in some form today. But, as a stand alone system, people still buy the lie that it doesn’t offer sufficient protection or a good way to “run the ball”. It’s not true and we see every single year a version that proves the notion wrong. Also there’s a belief that you can’t run a solid defense if you’re committed to the RNS or spread of any sort. The real issue is that DC’s haven’t figured out how to really stop the Shoot. So they then project that no defense can be successful when paired with it. The only way to beat the misconceptions is to just learn it, run it and incorporate multiple personnel groupings (ie, 10,11 and 12). In this way you hide the obvious spread and now the inside defenders are matched up with a slot on one play, a TE another play, and getting one on one with a RB downfield with an OG leading because the TE allows either a power game or stout zone scheme that can blow holes in the defensive fronts. All while maintaining the same 7-10 base RNS plays that was ran out of a 4WR spread set and was scoring at will for the past 50 years or more. No other offense in history can make that claim.

Quick question coach what if single high safety in the middle attacks 3 receiver side what do you instruct your “F” receiver to run?

Explain the qbs foot work again? Is he half rolling to that side or straight drop back?

Half roll to the choice side. So if it is a right handed QB it would be 4 steps left/3 to the right. It's the opposite for a left handed QB.

I rather have the Side car on the strong side and run to the flats. Someone has to move on defense to cover him making it easier for No.3 receiver.

If they start playing 2 over your 1 I work it to the trips side. So the #1 to the trips, and I call it Choice Strong. Single side choice is called choice solo. Also if you really wanna be a jerk to defenses run levels on the backside so you can run Dig, Fin, Fin (5 yd In) or Dig, Fin, Post Curl to always give you an outlet bc if they're playing 2 over 1 to the Solo side they're playing 3 on 3 to the trips so I'd suggest using Strong Choice but also marrying Choice with Level or a Drive/Trips-Shallow concept
