Now Jake has true vocal range and that is why we are all so blown away with him hitting that high note. So many young singers lack this type of vocal range and what a difference it makes to the overall performance! Great job Jake Smith!

Let me catch my breath. This is really hard. If I start to look like I'm sweating well That's 'cause I am. I'm not good with words. But that's nothing new. Still I have to try To explain what I want to do With you. With you. Run away with me. Let me be your ride out of town. Let me be the place that you hide. We can make our lives on the go. Run away with me. Texas in the summer is cool. We'll be on the road like Jack Kerouac Looking back. Sam you're ready let's go Anywhere. Get the car packed and throw me the key Run away with me. SamI know it's fast. I'm in love with you. Sam it's crazy but Sam I'm crazier for you. I have these plans, Sam I have these plans Of a house that we build on a bay when we run away. Let me be your ride out of town. Let me be the place that you hide. We can make our lives on the go. Run away with me. Alabama heat sign me up. We'll be on the road like some country song Won't be long. Sam we're ready let's go Anywhere. Get the car packed and throw me the key. Run away with me. I'm not trying to make you a wife here. I'm not trying to tie you down. I'm just saying there might be a life here. A new one as soon as we run. Just as soon as we run. Run away... Let me be your ride out of town. Let me be the place that you hide. We can make our lives on the go. Run away with me. Mississippi mud, watch me slide. We'll be on the road like Jack Kerouac Looking back Sam you're ready, Sam. Let me be your ride out of time. Run away with me. California dreams here we come. Romeo is coming for Juliet. Ready set. Sam we're ready let's go Anywhere. Say the word and I'm already there. Run away with me.

The song was sang really well. Too well. The vocalist is clearly classically trained and it makes the song feel a little stiff. I felt a lot of story telling moments were missed.
@matteowrenn30349 жыл бұрын
Matthew Weil Er, I am a classically trained singer and he is not classically trained -- welltrained but not in classical voice style and there is strain obviously... don't know where you got that. He did a good job though only felt stiff in few places. was more worried about his strain and tension. but definitely not 'classically' trained, you see in vowel shape and in neck. It's good voice just I don't like overuse of 'classically trained' description. even so, one thing is just in a few places he could live in the story more-- felt like just a few places the excitement and joy got muddy. Sorry for my english :)

+Matthew Weil I respectfully disagree.
@peterosterman52457 жыл бұрын
Matteo Wrenn yes I agree. I am also a classically trained vocalist and even if he was classically trained, it would help with the placement and the emotion conveyed. I saw nothing wrong the story telling aspect, I think the whole performance is my favorite of every other one I've heard.

am i the only hearing that autotune at the high note? hmm.........
@richardb98577 жыл бұрын
It’s a high school tech crew’s production, so I very much doubt it. There’s also an iPhone video version at another venue if you’re not convinced.
@Ban-mv5cx5 жыл бұрын
no need to be harsh with words lmao, but yeah it has no autotune plus it would be pretty weird to only add the autotune in only one part.
@GAMERFREAK130095 жыл бұрын
@@richardb9857 definitely autotune. But it's still a great use of it. And it sounds beautiful.
