I didn't buy that particular brand but the one I did buy only worked for about 3 months and then..... didn't work anymore. My son and I engineered and constructed our own door which works and lasts a long time! :) Great looking chickens!

I'm sorry Joe but if you got one that was plastic then unfortunately you got one of the cheep knockoffs. Genuine Run-Chicken doors are made from aluminum.

Original Run - chicken door logo is not a chicken but the outline of the country of Slovenia, when it looks like a chicken, but the Chinese don't know that ha, ha...

Has anyone delt with their customer service? So far not having a good time. My door worked perfectly for about 8 months then started burning through batteries in days until it just stopped working all together. A lot of money. Now i have to open it manually.

This is the worst automatic door on the market (Run-Chicken). Their support is criminal. Save your money. Or be ready to buy a new one inside a year. There are much better options with superior support.

whats the better options? After asking people on chicken facebook pages, most everyone told me to go with this one. Sounds like you got a lemon.
