We've had a problem with raccoons on our place effecting our wild turkey population and no one around us hunts them anymore, had very good luck trapping and baiting them, throwing lead at them they love cat food and sunflower seeds, good luck with your laying hens, CJ

Yeah that is a problem everywhere it seems that noone hunts them anymore. I know I've got 2 less at my place lol

I am looking for a door, unfortunately a raccoon has figured out how to get inside our enclosed run and now I have to screw a piece of wood over the chicken door every night, it's getting old fast. Do you still like this door?

I do not like our ladies first door. Our solar stopped working a few months after installing it and customer service gave us the run around when we tried to get the issue fixed.

This is the worst automatic door on the market (Run-Chicken). Their support is criminal. Save your money. Or be ready to buy a new one inside a year. There are much better options with superior support .P.S they pay people to give positive reviews. I was like you, so happy to tell anyone who would listen about it. Then is stopped working entirely and I had to deal with their support which is a call center. 14 emails later numerous videos / pictures. They are criminal. Anyway i wish you the best, the door does work great, when it works..
