Thank you. It would be nice to see how to setup windows host too.

I miss the guitar solos from your videos 4 years ago :( Other than that, great video!

Thank you for the kind words. I miss the guitar too! The 300th video is coming up soon, maybe I can coax it out of the case. Thanks for watching!

Amazing stuff! Thank you. More vids would be appreciated! Is it possible to get network transparent sound alongside graphics? That would be great.

You're welcome. Sound is harder, there's no implied networking server. It's up to the application to deliver. Thanks for watching!

Great video! Many of my use cases for the nano required VNC because I never seem to finish development of a real interface. On the other hand the heavy resource load interferes with the task at hand. So, I ended up putting the Nano aside. I will have to pull it out again. Also, I have been using a Pixelbook lately which runs Linux "natively" under ChromeOS The Penguin SSH terminal seems pretty fenced-in by ChromeOS so I would give it only 50:50 running GUI apps. However, most Linux apps can be installed on a Linux partition and run OK. So, there is probably a way.

Thank you for the kind words. VNC feels pretty heavy handed on small computers like the Jetson Nano and Raspberry Pi. Most people are only working on one application at a time, so X11 forwarding makes a lot more sense in those cases. Thanks for watching!

Why you put -X to the ssh connection?
@JetsonHacks Жыл бұрын
The -X flag allows for the X11 system to send graphics over the SSH transport. Thanks for watching!

@@JetsonHacks thanks. I have another question. What brand/model of mic are you using for making the videos?
@JetsonHacks Жыл бұрын
@@surflaweb I use Shure microphones. A couple are left over from the days of being in a band. Shure SM57 amzn.to/40XLcGo is the least expensive. Requires a USB audio interface to get audio into computer. Shure SM7B amzn.to/49RiXgo requires a more powerful USB audio interface. Most of the newer interfaces support it. Shure MV7 amzn.to/49Pr8Kb Which has a USB interface built in, but can go XLR if desired. This is easiest to get started with, you see a lot of them on podcasts. The SM7B is the industry standard for voice over work/radio/podcasting. But relatively expensive. The SM57 is the workhorse of the music industry. It doesn't sound quite as good as the SM7B, but you have to really know what to listen for. It's inexpensive as far as pro gear goes, and is very durable. One of mine is 30 years old. The MV7 is the easiest to use. It isn't quite a SM7B, but it's $150 cheaper and you don't need outboard gear. Hope this helps.

@JetsonHacks Жыл бұрын
@@in-sympathy-old The default Mac does not have a X Server. You have to install one. A lot of people use XQuartz.
