i have tried many times to do the steps however when i tried to install windows subsystem it says that i can't install it and it won't work on my laptop, after many research it turns out that you must have windows pro installed and you can't do it if you have windows home as operating system which no one have mentioned this important note

HEADS UP: to anyone using this guide, Microsoft discontinued its work on WSA and its no longer functional. As for an Alternative method Im not the most knowledgable besides Bluestacks. Just wanted to maybe help save some ppl the trouble.

"Install" button hidden when I tried to install windows subsystem. You need to change the region to United States of America to install windows subsystem. However, after all done when I tried to install an APK, the pop up wondow shows up "location" icon and intall button is deactivated...any advise..?

have you tried using an VPN or proxy to change your ip location? (VPN is just a proxy with additional security measures, however it is more commonly used)

@@reddddzzz yeah, for Win 11 you don't need an emulator. For Win 10 you will. If you can't use the native system, because you can't run it natively then you'll have to use an emulator

Microsoft said they will no longer support WSA as of March 5, 2025 on W11, however amazon stopped sales and downloads already. as of this comment, WSA does not work at all on W11. unsure if this branches out to W10 as well.
