I’m high on Daron Holmes. I think he’s definitely a 5. Kinda reminds me of Wendell Carter and I also do see the Al Horford. Wendell Carter was good rim protector at Duke but not as effective in the NBA so I kinda see that being Daron but I think he can still make it work because of the other stuff he does well.

He's mostly a 5, but there's a world where he'a an interchangeable 4/5 as well in bigger lineups. Wendell Carter, Jr. is too beefy as a comp. He's 270. But I can see him more of a Jalen Smith with more feel to the game. I've been that high on Holmes basically since beginning of college season. Last year I was fairly high on him too, just not as high. In a draft like this - he should be a first rounder. I see well publicized mocks that have him in the 50s and that seems like a bad joke.

NBA talent evaluators are really bad at their jobs. I think they're giving some 1st round talents bad feedback so instead of risking going in the 2nd round these kids are taking NIL money and returning. After all, the 2nd round will still be there next year. They'll make more money off NIL than as a 2nd round pick. I cant' blame them really. The landscape has completely changed and this is the new normal

Especially with a cap of 20 million for a single top notch college player to make based on a name. smh... something's got to give though... GLeague players need a raise... and the cap for college is too high imo. The NBA and NCAA need to get together and have a pow-wow to get a resolution on this nonsense. I can see a 3 million max... but 20? Sheesh, what's the point of college again? I thought college was to prepare one for a career at one point... what a joke, it's a business of popular names now. It's like you go to college, earn a ton of money... and unless you make the NBA in the first round or are a darn good player in that league, you get a pay cut out of college by going to the GLeague... or go over seas... Hmmm... Something doesn't sit right big picture. Hope this irons out.
