Great coverage! Amazing video as usual. Seems like a great race (all that food at the aid station!!). On Saturday I too did a 50k and suffered as much. I'm lucky to have run with my brother who towed me through the lowest points. And that's what trail and ultra are all about - the people, nature, overcoming one's struggles and the emotions at the finish line. Thanks for the video :) AND had it not been for the Harrier Running poles I found out about on this channel, I don't think I would have made it to the finish. Great gear!

Just watching this before running it again on Saturday, I ran it last year as the course checker, left 2 hours before you lot :-) Glad you enjoyed the extra signage I left in place. Ran it in 4.39 last year, holding a metal staple gun and 2kg of signs :-D self supported, hoping for a good race.

It doesn't seem that long since the 44mile SWT, barely time to recover. Your filming and production make everything look so stunningly beautiful. Quite moving seeing all the finishers crossing the line. Makes me think that this might be the first ultra for me. Been running for over 40 years, but never been beyond 26 miles. Have been waiting for better times and building up my ultra kit. I’m hoping to join the 100k gang one day was hoping London to Brighton this year but did my first 13.1 to the top of Snowdon yesterday, and took a tumble on the way down, stubbed my toe hard 🤕lovely purple today.. maybe my legs need some more training before a 100k 😂🤞🏽 And we’ll done Loyd. Just enjoy what you’re doing mate.. think back to the injury, you come back a long way. 👍🏼

I did my first proper trail race there this year. Only the 10k tho which was soooo wet and soggy but so much fun and i was really surprised how quick i was. However now i find myself morbidly hooked and i am now in training for the 50k race next year with my distances slowly creeping up to 30k in just over 3hrs now i cant wait and have my eye on a few warmup trail ultras. Even with the distances i now run i can see and understand the emotion in those guys coming in after 50 and 100k.

That's awesome, well done! You definitely picked a wet year, I couldn't believe the underfoot conditions 😲 That's the way to do it, build your milage up nice and slowly and allow the body to adjust. Hi James 😊 I've run the route in 4hrs 20 before but on a good day fully fit I know I can go sub 4hrs. When the course is dry it's super runnable, it's a great race! Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the video 🙏😊

Awesome Oscar, really glad you enjoyed it 👍 That's a tricky question because each trail 50k can be very different? If we're talking about a trail 50k like the Serpent trail, then it's not a lot more effort than a road Marathon. But if we're talking about a mountain 50k with lots of elevation then that's something very different 😊 Hope this helps and thanks for watching the channel 🙏
